The consolidated heat power company (JSC OTEK) – a division of ROSATOM State Corporation, manages assets not atomic power and utilities and also acts as industry integrator in the Smart City and Pure water directions. It was created in 2013 for the purpose of consolidation of assets of not atomic generation of Rosatom and management of a complex as business which tasks include increase in profitability of work in the markets of the heat and electric power and also increase in effective management of an asset portfolio of a complex.
In a circuit of operation and management OTEK there are combined heat and power plants in five cities of Russia: Glazov (Udmurt Republic), Dimitrovgrad (Ulyanovsk region), Krasnokamensk (Zabaykalsky Krai), Novouralsk (Sverdlovsk region), Seversk (Tomsk region), 69 boiler houses and 13 thousand km of networks of power supply across all Russia.
The NPP OTEK LLC company specializes in production of electric equipment, namely: electric motors, generators and transformers; the electric distribution and regulating equipment; electric lamps and lighting equipment.
In 2016 Quality Department transferred to the control JSC Vetro OGK which became the winner of competition on construction in Russia of 26 objects of wind generation with a total power of 610 MW. As the technology partner of Quality Department the Dutch company Lagerwey performs with forty years' experience of development and production of wind turbines.
Strategic tasks of Quality Department include localization of production of wind power units, construction and operation of wind farms and also an exit to the international "wind" markets.
2018: In 25 atomic cities of Russia will implement the "smart city" system
In the localities of Russia where large enterprises of nuclear sector are placed, the "smart city" system will be implemented. According to in May, 2018 Izvestia with reference to affiliated enterprise of Rosatom of JSC OTEK, at the first stage upgrade is going to be carried out in 25 cities where 2 million people live in total. For compensation of investments the company is going to use concessionary agreements with local administrations[1].
Earlier it was reported that OTEK signed with Gazprombank, Sberbank and Sovcombank a number of the agreements on strategic partnership concerning investments into increase in effective management of objects of housing and public utilities in the cities of presence of Rosatom. Partners agreed about joint implementation of investment projects, including concession projects in the field of housing and public utilities within development of the Smart City direction.
"The state corporation on behalf of OTEK begins project implementation of "the smart city" with assistance of federal authorities and the largest representatives of the banking sector. Upgrade of systems water - heat and power supply is necessary. Digital city infrastructure will provide effective use of resources and management of all systems from the uniform center. Also there will be a transparent consumer control, the involvement of inhabitants into interaction with the city systems" — the Deputy CEO of Rosatom Kirill Komarov explained to the newspaper. |
In the cities it is going to implement monitoring systems of objects of housing and public utilities, ecological and road situations and also managements of lifecycle of creation of city objects.
"It is, first of all, about upgrade of the existing infrastructure. On its basis we will unroll Internet of Things. Data, read from sensors, will come to the uniform dispatching center. The management system for repair crews which will instantly react to accidents also will enter into it" — the deputy CEO told OTEK Chakhovsky Maxim. |
The atomic cities Sosnovy Bor, Sarov, Novouralsk and Glazov were already included into the list of the pilot cities on implementation of a complex of actions "the smart city".
