Transcreditbank automates management of program IT assets

The I-Teco company announced on May 24, 2013 project completion of system implementation of the management of program IT assets executed for Transcreditbank on the Asset Manager HP platform.

The guide of the customer made the decision on application of methodology of SAM (Software Asset Management). According to the results of the competition organized by Transcreditbank in 2012, the right to work received I-Teco integrator.

"On the basis of HP Asset Manager the management system for program IT assets which became a link between means of technical inventory of software and procedures of the organization of contract activities for its acquisition was created. The implemented solution provided to bank the effective tool allowing to keep track continuously of compliance of actually used software and licenses available to the organization", – Alexey Zaslavsky, the director of the department of management systems for information services of I-Teco company noted.

Implementation

Within the project are developed by specialists of I-Teco the policy of management, an accounting procedure and control of operation of software products, the license portfolio of Transcreditbank is built. Besides, data on the installed programs and available licenses were loaded into the system of HP Asset Manager. Based on implementation for bank the complex of recommendations about improvement of management of IT assets is prepared.

At the first stage of deployment inventory of the rights on used by software bank on the basis of the analysis more than 500 agreements and documentation accompanying them is carried out, schemes of licensing of products which were purchased under these agreements are described.

The second stage included integration of HP of Asset Manager with the systems of inventory of software LANDesk Management Suite and MS SCOM. The data obtained as a result of import were required to be normalized and verified to provide their binding to the appropriate rights. For May 20, 2013 the process of management of program assets designed earlier is finally issued.

In our plans — further development of a system with expansion of abilities to manage and control of program IT assets and also end of a complete inventory of the business applications used in bank which are working on client-server technology or having the WEB INTERFACE.
