The corporate Academy of Rosatom upgrades internal IT infrastructure in the spirit of hi-end

The LanKey system integrator executed the large-scale project on upgrade and construction of IT infrastructure for ANO Corporate Academy of Rosatom, the press service of integrator reported on June 3, 2013.

Background

Due to the moving, at the end of 2012, the management of ANO Corporate Academy of Rosatom made the decision to make global upgrade of IT infrastructure. The contractor in the project selects LanKey company.

Production

Engineers of LanKey company made installation of the structured cabling system (SCS), tested and connected 1200 LAN ports, prepared three server premises in which the equipment is located.

Specialists of LanKey booked audit of an information system, revealed the current tasks and developed the plan of upgrade. As a result all server and network framework of Academy were constructed almost from scratch. The project was followed by relocation of Academy to the new building where creation of the local computer network (LCN) was required.

For a basis of network infrastructure the equipment Cisco is selected. By a LAN it is constructed based on the Cisco switches Catalyst 2960G. The wireless network of Cisco AeroNet using controllers 2504 and access points 1042 is unrolled thanks to what seamless roaming of wireless Wi-Fi-clients in all territory of the customer was provided. For security of perimeter Cisco ASA firewalls are installed. The wireless VPN private network is unrolled.

As a storage system the equipment of IBM is selected. Storage system of DS3512 System Storage and several servers 3550M4 XDP6C and 3630M4 XDP6C. As the energy saving equipment SURT8000XLI uninterruptible power supply units are selected. In workplaces and in educational classes monoblocks of Acer are set and configured.

Providing the mode of high availability and scalability of an information system, the LanKey company carried out deployment of a cluster of virtual machines on the platform of a hypervisor Microsoft Hyper-V. The cluster of virtual machines provides operability of 24/7 services, critical for business, even in case of refusal the physical equipment. In a cluster of virtual machines the directory service on the basis of Windows Server 2012, e-mail based on Microsoft Exchange 2010, servers of terminals, a backup system of data on the Symantec BackUp Exec platform is unrolled.
