KIT Finance migrates, strengthening protection of corporate systems the updated solution

Softline integrator implemented for KIT Finance bank the project on migration of the solution Websense Web Security on the new version, the press service of the company reported on June 5, 2013.

Background

To information security support and observance of policies of usage of the Internet the organization applies the complete solution Websense Web Security combining the advanced opportunities of filtering of URL and a broad set of means of web security. The solution allows to resist to the following threats: bot network, spywares, phishing and fraud, interceptors of the keyboard, harmful websites, potentially undesirable programs.

The Softline company helped to implement migration.

Tasks

Increasing the level of protection against dynamic threats of Web 2.0 and trying to prevent leaks of confidential information, to specialists of Softline set the task - to implement transition to the new version of an existing solution and to set all critical updates.

Job

Engineers of Softline carried out a preparatory stage of works - analyzed infrastructure of the solution and selected an optimal way of migration. The scenario of updating was fulfilled in a test environment by means of images of servers of the customer, at the final stage of works tested the updated system.

Result

Migration of Websense Web Security from the version of platform 7.1 to version 7.6 helped to upgrade the system of protection of organization against the malicious software and gave the chance to use advantages of Web 2.0 technologies, at the same time reducing risks to acceptable levels.
