Initially the company was created with the purpose to select in separate structure of competence of Stins Coman, connected with scientific research and innovations, and was considered as the innovation center which tasks included the organization of the full research and production stroke which is beginning with exploratory and developmental developments and coming to an end with an output in a series of production of finished goods.

Afterwards development of laser velocimeters and devices of control of traffic became the main activities of NPP Tekhnoimport; land laser scanning of objects and territories; digital modules of image processing for the systems of night vision; wireless atmospheric communication lines.

Solutions of the company are used in such industries as complex and information security, the industry, construction and architecture. NPP Tekhnoimport works at the markets of Russia, the CIS and abroad.
