Cisco Platform Exchange Grid (pxGrid)

Cisco developed strategy of partnership in aspiration to provide to the IT organizations more transparent networks capable to identify users and devices and to set rules of fight against network threats and for formation of safer information environment for the customers.

On June 17, 2013 the company announced new joint developments and methods of exchange of information within Cisco Security Technology Partner Ecosystem, this ecosystem uses new architecture of data exchange under the name Platform Exchange Grid (pxGrid).

Platform Exchange Grid is the unified platform of accounting of a context and increase in controllability of networks.

The platform can be integrated into IT infrastructure of Identity Services Engine (ISE), at the same time it becomes the unified means which allows to manage in real time identification of users, terminal units, politicians and access to networks of the customer, to provide to the customer intellectual means for recognition, reflection and mitigation of threats in IT infrastructure.

Common features

Platfrom Exchange Grid allows to exchange the context information in the environment of ISE, supports multivendor, cross-platformnuyu joint work in network and is increased by efficiency of all information and technology infrastructure.

pxGrid:

• extends intellectual functions and politicians to the most extensive in the world the set base of the network systems making the lion share of the Internet allows to transfer easily data on a context between network systems and gives to partner systems the chance to exchange the context information
• creates the single interface for communication with many systems, everyone exercises access control in the course of multilateral information exchange by the principle "with everyone" and helps to create a wide integration ecosystem, advancing pxGrid as the industry standard
• the solution pxGrid will be integrated with the open network Cisco Open Network Environment environment (Cisco ONE) that will allow partners to manage reaction of networks to certain events and conditions.

Availability

The ISE platform represents the first platform on which the solution pxGrid will be set. In the beginning Cisco will set pxGrid at partners, and since 2014 is going to start deployment of this solution and at customers.
