Cisco ONE includes the packet of One Platform Kit (onePK) implementing program interfaces in all operating systems of Cisco: IOS, IOS-XR and NX-OS. Originally it will be supported on ASR 1000 routers and ISR G2, and for application development recently provided Cloud Connector packet will serve.

The Cisco Open Network Environment platform is implemented in the form of a broad set of API interfaces for different platforms, agents and controllers and also additional network technologies. Besides, Cisco announced development of a pilot software version for controllers and also the pilot version of the agent of OpenFlow for collecting of data on work of software-defined network infrastructures (SDN networks). Solutions of Cisco company simplify creation of the scalable virtual imposed networks at deployment of multi-user cloud environments using the virtual switchboard Cisco Nexus® 1000V. Among a set of the implemented innovations it is possible to select support of the OpenStack platform, programmability, a possibility of use of several hypervisors and also functionality of the gateway VXLAN. Packet of the One Platform Kit API interfaces (onePK): program tools for customers and partners of OnePK provide a broad set of API interfaces for flexible programming access to components of different operating systems and hardware platforms of Cisco. Support of a packet of OnePK will be gradually implemented for all IOS, IOS-XR and NX-OS operating systems and also hardware platforms, including ASR, ISR G2, CRS and the Catalyst and Nexus switches. Initially the packet of Cisco OnePK will be supported on ASR1000 and ISR G2 routers. Packets OnePK do possible close integration with software applications for ensuring bigger transparency, the best orchestration and more effective management of network infrastructure. It allows to create quicker services and to provide services and also to automate many network processes and tasks. During the work with OnePK packet developers can use usual programming languages and modern work benches and also with ease to integrate solutions in already existing development environments. On June 12 the Cisco company announced that her partners and customers can develop within the Cloud Connected Solution program own software modules of Cloud Connector using API interfaces of OnePK, thereby having an opportunity to improve the services and to get competitive advantage. Cloud Connector is the program component installed on platforms of routing ISR G2 and ASR1000 for increase in availability, performance and level of security of cloud services.
The developed Cisco of software of controllers and software agents of OpenFlow for Cisco SDN networks will release the pilot version of software of the controller for SDN networks. Now the company intensively works on this task together with different educational and research establishments. For example, the universities will be able to segment the networks to provide a possibility of the academic researches in the field of SDN networks, applying coordinated management by politicians. The Cisco company will also provide pilot versions of agents of OpenFlow v1.0 for the Cisco switches Catalyst of the 3750-X and 3560-X series. In addition, the Cisco company heads several working groups in the Open Network Foundation organization.
The virtual imposed networks provide support of software of OpenStack, several hypervisors and also functions of the gateway VXLAN for ensuring the coordinated work of physical and virtual networks Cisco Company will fill up a set of solutions for the virtual imposed networks held for use in scalable, multi-user cloud infrastructures and the environments "infrastructure as service" (IAAS), thanks to support of hypervisors open source in a product line of Nexus 1000V. Such support will be provided along with already implemented support of hypervisors of VMware and Microsoft. The gateway VXLAN will have functions of the bridge between traditional physical mediums on the basis of virtual local area networks and the imposed networks created based on VXLAN technology. Cisco will expand functionality of the vPath technology used in the Nexus 1000V switch. Now it will support virtual services in imposed by VXLAN networks, including VSG and ASA1000V. Cisco vPath will direct traffic via VSG and ASA1000V firewalls on the basis of predeterminated the politician that will allow to simplify workflows of each certain user tenant. The Cisco company will offer the connected module OpenStack Quantum functioning according to standards and the REST API interfaces for the virtual switchboard Cisco Nexus 1000V to provide a possibility of fast management of multi-user cloud infrastructures. Availability the Beginning of release of trial betas and also step-by-step implementation of technologies and solutions is planned for the fourth quarter 2012.
