The cloud service of Office 365 works at the Russian offices of ORANTA company

General Computers implemented a cloud service of Office 365 in Oranta insurance company, the company reported on July 3, 2013.

Background

The company management felt need for the solution which would allow to increase security and reliability of corporate services, to ensure functioning with them from different devices, to simplify updating and support of IT infrastructure in the regional agencies in view of absence in them regular IT specialists.

As the solution of this task the cloud service of Office 365 is selected.

"Office 365 represents a set of business services necessary for the company, including office applications, mail, the portal and the tool for web conferences, on a single platform with the guaranteed level of availability and security, – Pavel Dolgopoly, the development director of General Computers noted. – Now IT specialists of Oranta can quickly and easily unroll necessary services on different devices of employees and manage IT infrastructure far off. It allowed to lower considerably load of IT personnel and to increase fault tolerance of a system".

Result

In a project deliverable IT infrastructure in 60 territorially separate branches of the company across all Russia is unified, employees are given ample opportunities for work with the PC, tablets and smartphones. The uniformity of the tools used by employees for communications and work with documents had beneficial influence on business of the company. Besides, use of Office 365 gave the chance to install on devices of users the software according to their role in the company.
