For increase in effective management of educational institution, gain of competitiveness in education market, the British higher school of design set for itself the task in a short time to implement the complex project on automation of the activity. As a result of assessment ^[1] which are available in the market which are considering industry specifics and including specialization of higher education institutions the decision on system implementation the Galaktika ERP — "Galaktika Management of higher education institution" was made.

Task

Main objective of the project - creation of the modern, adaptable and integrated system for information support of administrative and educational activity of the British higher school of design. The created technology platform should support in the long term automation of the existing and planned activities of university.

"The realization of automation is enabled by forces of two commands. To minimize finance costs on the project we undertook a part of tasks of implementation, in particular, the modules "Contingent of Students" and "Accounting of Progress". Independent work takes place within the Galaktika corporation of a system of organizational actions which is carefully thought over by specialists", - Maria Dolgorukova - the Head of educational department of the British higher school of design noted.

Job

For July 5, 2013 automated management of the contingent of students. In a system all information on students is kept, are developed and special forms of orders on administrative actions on the contingent are used. In a stage of trial operation there are modules "Educational Process" and "Schedule of Studies" which functionality allows to keep baseline and working curricula and also to make the schedule of studies taking into account distribution by classroom fund and wishes of teachers. Besides, the interactive map of classroom fund is created.

Dynamics

Implementation of the module "Paid training" continues, the majority of the agreements signed with students on paid educational services are already entered into a system, the possibility of drawing up calendar financial plans is tested.

Expectations

At the final stage it is going to implement "circular" integration of all systems used in BHSAD: portal of school, automated system of accounting, SMS and email mailings system, library system, access control system.
