The information security system of MSP Bank is brought into accord with requirements of the Central Bank

The LETA company completed the complex project of creation of a system of information security support of JSC MSP Bank according to requirements of the standard of the Bank of Russia of service station of BR IBBS-1.0-2010 (service station of BR IBBS-1.0), the press service of the company reported on July 25, 2013.

Start of Project

In 2010 the management delivered before cybersecurity specialists a task of reduction of information security of bank in compliance with requirements of the standard of the Bank of Russia of service station of BR IBBS-1.0.

For implementation of this task made the decision to attract the company consultant. The staff of MSP of Bank stopped the choice on LETA company.

Project Progress

Work on project implementation is carried out in several steps.

• Preliminary audit. Showed that the system of information security support (SISS) of MSP of Bank was at that time at the initial level of compliance to requirements of the standard and required considerable efforts on development and formation.

• According to the recommendations prepared according to the results of a preliminary estimate the plan on the basis of which works on improvement of SOIB were carried out was developed. In particular, within these works the complex of internal documents concerning providing Information Security was developed and also classification of data assets of bank and risks assessment of cybersecurity is carried out.

• On a closing stage of the project experts of LETA carried out final conformity assessment of SOIB to requirements of service station of BR IBBS-1.0 and prepared recommendations about elimination of the shortcomings revealed during audit and further improvement of a system of information security support.

Implementation of all above described actions allowed to increase considerably the level of compliance of cybersecurity of bank to requirements of service station of BR IBBS-1.0. The final audit booked by LETA company showed that the system of information security support of JSC MSP Bank at the time of assessment is at the fourth level of compliance to requirements of the standard which is the recommended Bank of Russia.
