Genser changes the automation system of an inventory control

The Zephyr Solutions company implemented the system of barcoding in a warehouse of Dzhenser Group, the press service of integrator reported on July 29, 2013.

Project Background

The Dzhenser group used the system of barcoding in a warehouse since 2012. In process of operation of the solution the enterprise was faced the need to make process of barcoding more effective, to exclude possibility of failures.

Decided to start the large-scale project of upgrade of a system with replacement of the program on more perfect. As the partner in the project the consulting IT company Zephyr Solutions acted.

Project Progress

The system of barcoding of Dzhenser Group uses laser data collection terminals of Motorola. As the shell program ensuring their functioning own development of Zephyr Solutions is selected.

In a system basic processes of management of a warehouse of spare parts are implemented: goods acceptance, shipment, inventory. Several users can execute any of processes at the same time.

The project is implemented within two and a half months from the beginning of development of the technical project before setup of a DMS system of the customer and data collection terminals of Motorola, testing and application launch in operation.

For July 29, 2013 the system of barcoding from Zephyr Solutions functions in car center of Nissan on Dobrolyubov Street in Moscow. The nomenclature of a warehouse of the dealer center makes about 10 thousand names. Dzhenser Group and Zephyr Solutions work on scaling of the solution on the dealer centers of holding.

Alexey Zherikov, the managing director, Zephyr Solutions, noted: "Smoothly running process of barcoding in a warehouse of spare parts of the dealer center allows not only to lower necessary manual work costs of logisticians and storekeepers, but also to accelerate carrying out the main warehouse transactions - acceptance, shipment and inventory of goods. Effect which can be reached using this tool - increase in control accuracy a warehouse, increase in its turnover and decrease in quantity of illiquid positions".

"Earlier car showrooms of Dzhenser Group used shell program of other supplier for automation of process of barcoding of a warehouse. Periodic data loss because of technical failures owing to what regular error correction in a system and repeated document handling was required was a problem of this development. Zephyr Solutions offered a product with a possibility of seamless integration with DMS that allowed us to achieve the maximum efficiency of data-refresh and to completely exclude a possibility of their loss", - Kirill Voyevodin, the deputy manager of the "spare parts and wholesale" direction, Dzhenser Group emphasized.
