Russian Humanitarian Scientific Fund (RHSF)

RGNF was created by the government in 1994 based on the Russian Federal Property Fund for support of humanitarian scientific research and distribution of humanitarian scientific knowledge.

In February, 2016 the Government of the Russian Federation attached the Russian Humanitarian Scientific Fund (RHSF) to the Russian Federal Property Fund (RFPF). As it is written in the document, such reorganization will allow to create uniform procedures of access to grants regardless of the directions of researches, to reduce the costs connected with administration of means.

The reorganized Russian Federal Property Fund will give a financial and organizational support of basic scientific research, including in the field of the humanities. Thus, the sphere of its maintaining will be expanded at the expense of the scientific directions in which support was given to RGNF earlier.
