History
2023: Change of Ownership
In mid-September 2023, it became known that the LavkaLavka brand, under which farm food stores were developing, had changed its owner. Mark was registered by Biomex LLC, associated with the food distributor Nelt-Retail.
According to the Kommersant newspaper, Biomex belongs to Lithuanian citizen Eduardas Levinas. The company sent an application for registration of the LavkaLavka brand, under which, as of September 2023, there is an online store for dairy products, sausages and ready-made food. The owner of this site is the company "Nelt-Retail," engaged in the distribution of dairy products of the Lithuanian "Sval," the German Meggle, etc. Nelt-Retail is owned by Kirill Sychev, who owned a stake in Biomex. In turn, Levinas has the rights to the trademarks of Nelt, Schonfeld, Boticello, under which Nelt-Retail products are produced.
In 2009-2018, Boris Akimov developed an online platform for selling farm products, a chain of stores and restaurants under the LavkaLavka brand with partners. In 2018, this chain, which had seven stores, faced financial problems, and therefore the bulk of the outlets had to be closed.
The new online store LavkaLavka unites local manufacturers and farmers. The project calls its mission "the search for products and ready-made dishes unique in their gastronomic and useful properties" from different regions of Russia. The site cooperates only with proven manufacturers and suppliers who are primarily focused on product quality. Partners include Cheese Life, KMK Nadezhdinsky, Country Kraft, Salumi di Reggio, Cheese Province, Italian Traditions, etc. The use of the trademark "LavkaLavka" by the new owners, according to market participants, will help in the development of the online store.[1]
