Rosatom will create a management system for the rights to innovations

Until the end of 2013 Rosatom is going to bring a management system for the rights to results of intellectual activity into operation. As the functional customer of a system the block on innovation management of state corporation acts.

Main objective of activity of this block is creation of conditions and mechanisms of unity of management of the organizations of a scientific and technical complex of corporation within implementation of its development strategy and carrying out state policy by it in the field of development of atomic science and technology. Functions of the block on innovation management, among other, include coordination of development and monitoring of the innovation program of the industry and also management of results of intellectual activity, including their capitalization and commercialization.

As it appears from the published project documentation, a system will include the management information portal based on Microsoft SharePoint and also a subsystem on monitoring and the analytical reporting.

The first of them will allow to provide information support of such processes as localization of results of intellectual activity (determination of the place of their creation and use), ensuring legal protection of results of intellectual activity, the order with the rights to their use.

Purpose of the second subsystem - providing the analytical reporting under processes of management of the rights to results of intellectual activity and monitoring of these processes and also monitoring of extent of legal protection of technologies when which developing are created or in which results of intellectual activity of the company are used.

In the project documentation it is also specified that in addition to employees of the block on innovation management of Rosatom by users of a system there will also be research associates who are authors of results of intellectual activity, employees of divisions which conduct patent researches and make proposals on a form of legal protection of these results, legal service of corporation and others.

A new system should be integrated with a number of the adjacent systems: in particular, with the ERP system of SAP corporation, with ERP systems of Rosenergoatom Concern,TVEL and Atomenergoproekt, the ERP system of 1C which is used in a number of the enterprises of Rosatom, solutions of a business intelligence of SAP, the workflow system and also with a management system for basic data of SAP MDM.
