On October 21, 2013 the Cisco company announced project completion of creation of SCS at office of Norilsk Nickel. Implemented the project, on the platform of solutions Cisco, I-Teco company.
Project Progress
Within creation of telecommunication infrastructure of the central office of Norilsk Nickel specialists of I-Teco developed the project documentation, implemented more than 2 thousand ports with differentiation of network infrastructure of connection of users on the different security levels, organized a segment of local DPC, unrolled network of wireless access and the system of centralized operation by network equipment.
Project parts
For the LAN organization in each building about two floor switching points where active network equipment — the Cisco switches Catalyst 4510R with supervisors 7E and the interface maps of the user ports with support of Power over Ethernet (PoE) technology is installed are placed. The central switching point is located on the general first floor.
There is a core of network consisting of two Cisco switches Catalyst 6509 equipped with supervisors of Cisco Sup 2T and a virtual switching system (Virtual Switching System, VSS). The network is built with the high level of fault tolerance.
At office the Wi-Fi-network on the basis of the Cisco 5508 WLC controller and access points of Cisco 3500 is unrolled. Upon the demand of the customer of the zone Wi-fi are organized pointwise.
The main task regarding creation of LAN - ensuring interaction of users with the different information access layer therefore the local network was initially separated into two levels — on the level of office employees and physically independent network of users with the high level of security. On the second network in addition to solutions of Cisco the allocated Russian security protections which the customer set independently are applied.
Within the project the local segment of DPC on the platform of the solutions Cisco Nexus 5500 — multilevel, multiprotocol, multi-purpose switches with the matrix working according to standards of Ethernet and allowing to transfer any traffic on the basis of a single platform of DPC is constructed.
Communication between the new platform and the remote DPC of Norilsk Nickel located in the largest data center of the Tier III level TrustInfo of I-Teco company is organized on data transmission channel which is ciphered using the solution Cisco Mac Security licensed in FSB of the Russian Federation.
