Content

On October 29, 2013 the Pulkovo airport and IT company announced the beginning of implementation of an automated system of sound informing passengers.

Project Tasks

Equipment of the new terminal of Pulkovo the modern system of the sound notification of passengers and personnel became one of important tasks for management.

As a result of a research of the market of software solutions, the management of Pulkovo selected the automated system of sound informing developed by IT company.

Project Objective

The implementation purpose - speech informing passengers and staff of the airport on the current situation in the territory of the terminal:

  • about registration passing,
  • about take-off and landing of aircrafts,
  • about landing and issue of baggage,
  • about changes in the schedule,
  • about the services offered by the airport.

The special part is assigned to a system when informing passengers in crisis situations when the speed and transmission quality of declarations are extremely important.

Project Plans

During the project it is necessary to implement, for the first time in Russia, the program interface of management of a sound hardware of Honeywell allowing to use it both in fire alarm systems, and in the system of sound informing.

For the staff of the airport the automated jobs giving ample opportunities on management and monitoring of functioning of a system will be created.

Implementation of an automated system of sound informing will help the Pulkovo airport to optimize production and human resources.

Project Results

On February 11, 2014 the IT company and the international airport Pulkovo announced project completion of implementation and start of the automated system of sound informing (ASSI).


During the project for the first time in [1] the program interface of management of a sound hardware of Honeywell allowing to use it both in fire alarm systems, and in the system of sound informing is used. For the staff of the airport the automated jobs giving ample opportunities on management and monitoring of functioning of a system are created.

Integration with operational base of the airport of Air-Transport IT Services company is performed by the built-in means of ASZI, without programming that allowed to expedite it and to consider all subtleties of initial data.

For February 11, 2014 the automated system of sound informing provides sound informing attendees at the airport, in the Russian and English languages at the same time, in five zones of the new terminal of Pulkovo Airport. A system allows expansion of a language line as required. Archiving of messages is provided, including - made announcers, in summary form, for analysis of conflict situations.

The solution has high degree of reliability and works in the round-the-clock mode. The restoration system, both on hardware, and on program levels is created that helps to use voice informing passengers of the airport uninterruptedly.
