The Pension Fund of the Russian Federation begins a HANA technology implementation project

On November 22, 2013 the SAP CIS company and the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation (RPF) announced the beginning of the first in the Russian public sector implementation of the innovative solution of SAP HANA.

Project Tasks

It is expected that on project deliverables the new quality level of budget data can be reached, time of obtaining the consolidated statements will be reduced that in turn will positively affect the overall performance of work of the state organization.

For November 22, 2013 in 82 departments of RPF the cycle of budget planning and formation of financial performance of activity in the automated mode is implemented. A main goal of implementation - creation of a single, multifunction automated system of accounting and expense control on the scale of all regions of presence of RPF – the EXPERT Budgeting.

During further development of the project it is necessary to carry out upgrade of a landscape of a system using the innovation SAP HANA platform, the technological solution for processing of large volumes of data in RAM. SAP HANA will increase the accuracy of data, will reduce a cycle of obtaining the consolidated statements and time of entering of adjustments into budget items.

Feature of the project is existence in structure of licenses of SAP of the innovative solution of HANA focused on optimization of working capacity, reliability augmentation and high-speed performance. It should be noted that this first SAP implementation of HANA in the Russian public sector", - Dmitry Krasyukov, the deputy CEO of SAP CIS said.

In the Russian public sector SAP is engaged in the projects aimed, first of all, at transformation of business processes and increase in efficiency. For November, 2013 the customers who are productively using SAP in Russia: Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation, Presidential Property Management Department of the Russian Federation, Federal Tax Service of the Russian Federation and Russian Government Analytical Centre. It is about interdepartmental automation, the information and analytical block and about the solution of the specific unique objectives connected with key activity of departments.

"Development of the Budgeting AS system should become a part of the strategy implementation of information technology development accepted PFRNA the next 3 years in the context of automation of the providing processes", - Olga Nikitina, the head of the department of financial provision of a system of the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation noted.

In development plans for the project - system implementation of key performance indicators and expansion of a cycle of budget planning in all divisions of the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation.
