The operator and the ministry signed in October, 2014 the agreement on cooperation in the field of modern developments and innovations for Armed forces. The subsystem of confidential communication is already ready to acceptance of the first subscribers in 19 cities: Astrakhan, Almetyevsk, Belgorod, Vladimir, Ivanov, Kaliningrad, Kaluga, Naberezhnye Chelny, Oryol, Orenburg, Saransk, Smolensk, Stavropol, Tver, Togliatti, Tula, Ulyanovsk, Cherepovets, Yaroslavl. The operator continues to create infrastructure in 21 cities of the country. In total the subsystem of confidential communication will appear in 40 cities of Russia[1].
Investments into creation of network of confidential communication made more than 1 billion rubles.
"Osnovy Telecom network" is transport infrastructure for high-speed data transmission in a subsystem of confidential communication. For the solution of a complex task of its implementation the divisions of the Ministry of Defence which are responsible for hi-tech products for needs of army are involved in work", - Bakhorin Alexander explained.
The subsystem of confidential communication created by Osnovoy Telecom. For example, on a tank polygon situated near Moscow in Alabin the LTE network using which video monitoring of stationary and moving objects is conducted is created. It is applied also to information exchange. "This network showed excellent results of work in the different conditions including which are brought closer to fighting", - he noted.
In September, 2011. The state commission on radio frequencies (SCRF) selected to Basis without tender of the frequency of 2.3-2.4 GHz across all Russia for construction of network of dual purpose (with a subsystem of confidential communication for providing the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation). Creation of a subsystem of confidential communication began at the same time with start of the first stage of construction of LTE network in 2013.
