Galaktika: The schedule of studies provides to the staff of educational and methodical divisions of universities and colleges considerable opportunities in independent setup of a system under specific requirements of educational institution.

Description

System "Galaktika: The schedule of studies" allows to provide in the automated mode uniform - on weeks, distribution of volume of an academic load. At the same time such parameters as discipline, the teacher, the contingent, a work type, the period, volume of loading and the diagram of passing are considered.

A system helps to consider, by drawing up the schedule, numerous requirements to educational process. For example, such methodical requirements as holding intense occupations on the last pairs, alternation of lectures from different cycles of disciplines, an interval between lectures on a certain subject, etc. can be recorded.

Also organizational requirements, for example, compliance of capacity of audience to the number of trainees, the number of pairs a day for each teacher, minimization of a hop count between audiences, etc. are considered.

Also the solution helps to select the requirements stimulating independent work of students: the number of practical lessons in day, existence of intervals between a lecture and practice, selection of free time for individual occupations, etc. Using the functionality of visualization which is built in a system, the user can eliminate violations of desirable requirements, increasing quality of the schedule.

2018: Schedule of Studies version 3.0

On June 27, 2018 the Galaktika Corporation announced release of the next version of a system for the Russian higher school – Galaktika "Schedule of studies" 3.0.

The Galaktika of RUZ system is urged to solve one of key tasks of management of educational process in universities – the automated drawing up schedules of various occupations, the publication of schedules and providing convenient services for all participants of educational process – students, graduate students, teachers, the staff of university and administration. As customers of a system tens of Russian universities among which there are a Higher School of Economics, the St. Petersburg Polytechnic University of Peter the Great, the Northern (Arctic) federal university, the Tolyatti state university, the Yugra state university and many others already acted.

Structure and scheme of the Schedule of Studies system

The updated Galaktika of RUZ 3.0 system received the advanced functionality based on experience of the projects which are successfully implemented by Expert center of Galaktika corporation on work with universities (St. Petersburg). The solution is translated to the latest version of the Xafari platform that allowed to increase performance, flexibility and possibilities of localization of a system.

Also in the provided version of the Galaktika of RUZ system significantly advanced functionality on work with difficult schedules:

• Tools for convenient drawing up schedules in the conditions of individualization of trajectories of training of students are implemented;
• Functions on work with composite occupations are added;
• The intermediate cache of data which allows to lower significantly load of DB applications at the address to him of a large number of consumers of information is created;
• Integration opportunities due to expansion of methods of the built-in web service are improved;
• Visual forms of display of the ready schedule, analysis of load of classroom fund, including adapted for mobile devices are added.

The first honey – a difficult educational and medical complex, one of the largest in the country.
