Content

On December 5, 2013 the IBS group announced implementation of a single system of supervisory control from SAP company - SAP Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence on gas transmission objects of Gazprom Transgaz Ufa LLC.

Project Tasks

Gas transit to consumers of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Bashkortostan at the enterprise is continuously controlled using supervisory control systems and accounting. Earlier in Gazprom Transgaz Ufa LLC the dispatching information system of own development which already not quite met the modern requirements to supervisory control was used. With respect thereto the project on implementation of a new modern supervisory control system based on the industrial platform is initiated. By means of a new system the customer wanted to provide transparency of process of works on management of gas flows, to increase effective management of gas transport flows, to increase control of execution of the plan of transport of gas, to improve operational information exchange with the adjacent enterprises and consumers, to automate many routine transactions.

As the platform for implementation of a system the SAP solution Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence (SAP MII) is selected. For project implementation invited IBS company. The IBS command has experience of automation of production processes at the energy industry enterprises, has a portfolio of successful projects on process automation of a maintenance and repair of the equipment (TORO).

Project Progress

Specialists of IBS executed completions of the platform and integrated a supervisory control system with business processes of TORO for ensuring approval of gas transportation schedules of planning of actions of a MRO. Users of a system on places possess reliable information about the planned and carried out works on repair and maintenance. Besides, a system is integrated with a resource management system of the enterprise regarding gas sale control business process to suppliers, for ensuring reflection of data on the transported gas volumes in financial accounting and logistics. It is in the long term going to implement integration of a system with the PCS systems for ensuring use of data on a current status of objects of the gas transmission system in real time.

Project Results

For December 5, 2013, based on the executed implementation, using a system operational collecting of dispatching regime technology information with use the intranet technologies, calculation of an hour, daily and monthly balance of gas, calculation of a reserve of gas and its change is performed. The problem of planning of receipt and distribution of gas on the basis of the plan of giving and acceptance of gas from Gazprom and independent suppliers is solved. A system allows to perform comparison of the actual and planned operation mode of main gas pipelines, monitoring of a deviation of the actual supply of gas from planned. In the automatic mode exchange of dispatching data with the nearby gas transmission companies and transfer of regime information in the central dispatcher station Gazprom is executed.

Pavel Romanenkov, the head of department of automation, informatization, telecommunications and metrology of Gazprom Transgaz Ufa LLC, noted: "Implementation of the advanced engineering developments and modern information technologies in gas transmission company – one of the major directions in our work. The created information system helps us to plan, to consider and control the modes of functioning of the gas transmission system of the enterprise taking into account accomplishment of plans of a MRO. It allows to increase reliability and safety of operation of technology equipment, to increase efficiency of reaction to emergency situations and, finally, to provide uninterrupted transportation of gas".

A new system is actively used, and legacy solution is taken out of service.
