The department of youth policy and tourism of YaNAO upgrades management of the portal

On December 10, 2013 the Gnu/Linuxcenter company (Мезон.ру Ltd) announced project completion on upgrade of the state portal of department of youth policy and tourism of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Area to www.yamolod.ru.

Project Tasks

After consolidation of departments of youth policy and tourism before the customer there was a need of consolidation of information resources. There were old portals which badly gave in to management, but the main thing - were separate and were not actively used. Orientation to work with young people who got used to convenient services on pages of social networks became the important purpose during creation of new representative office of state bodies on the Internet. The most interesting solution of this task was proposed by specialists of GNU/Linuxcenter.

Project Progress

Specialists of GNU/Linuxcenter developed the new concept and special design of the portal combining availability of information, comfortable tools to work with content and intuitive management of a resource. As a content management system the open source - CMF Drupal with the specific modules which are in addition developed by GNU/Linuxcenter is applied.

The structure of the portal is completely processed. In particular, content of old resources is placed in different sections after careful sorting and carried to new sections. On the homepage of the portal the most often used elements are placed: thematic banners, calendar of events and citizens' appeals. For convenience of communication within yamolod.ru the small social network which allowed youth and non-profit organizations of the district quicker is created and more effectively to find volunteers and to tell about itself the last minute information. Interesting solutions in the field of representation of content also yielded positive result. So, thanks to original visual representation, great interest of visitors was attracted by archive of the Yunost Yamala magazine.

Project Results

The version of the website for mobile devices which is quickly loaded is created and offers only fresh information and the basic contact information on the first page. As a result it is convenient to visitors to browse the website even from smartphones with small display resolution.
