Vodokanal of Kazan protects IT resources anti-virus solution

On December 16, 2013 the Softline company announced completion of delivery of the solution Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Vodokanal Municipal Unitary Enterprise in Kazan.

Project Tasks

Reliable cyber defense of the distributed IT infrastructure expected 350 users, security of personal data of the population of the city is necessary for the Kazan water utility. Tasks of the implementable cybersecurity project included search of anti-virus solution which can be managed on a centralized basis. Such product should keep statistics of threats, control external devices and manage security on mobile devices, inform timely on incidents.

For this reason we should be sure that all information and all resources on which it is placed are reliably protected", - Dmitry Filyanin, the chief of data-processing center of Vodokanal Municipal Unitary Enterprise emphasized.

The management of Vodokanal Municipal Unitary Enterprise made the decision - to announce the tender for delivery of licenses of the protective software and to pass to more modern and functional product of Kaspersky Lab - Kaspersky Endpoint Security. The choice is based on experience of long-term and successful cooperation with vendor (the product Kaspersky 6.0 was used earlier. and administration server).

Softline which offered optimal conditions to project implementation became the contractor of the project according to the results of the tender. Besides, the company is an IT partner of the Kazan water utility long ago.

Project Progress

For December 16, 2013 new antivirus software is installed on 80% of workstations of the customer. As a result of implementation in the Kazan water utility the optimal centralized system of information security is created. Inventory of the software and control of external devices were the most significant innovations for the customer in comparison with earlier used solution.
