Krask implements the server of communications

On December 27, 2013 the Softline company announced project completion on implementation of Microsoft Lync Server in divisions of Kraskom company.

Project Tasks

For several years for ensuring interdepartmental communications various technical solutions, like analog and digital telephone exchanges, means on the basis of personal computers and mobile platforms were used. But any of options completely did not conform to requirements production and business processes regarding efficiency of communications and relevance of information.

Separate arrays of information about employees and an organization structure of the company involved considerable time expenditure on permanent updating and distribution of up-to-date data. Besides, classical means of communication did not allow to use digital content for joint work and decision making: schemes, reference books, projects, estimates and other technical documentation.

The company management made the decision on implementation in IT infrastructure of a system which has the uniform mechanism of transfer, management and security for all types of corporate content with the minimum time and finance costs. As the contractor of the project selected Softline company.

Project Progress

For the maximum effective achievement of effective objectives specialists of Softline recommended to the customer to use the solution on the basis of the software of Microsoft Lync Server – the corporate platform of unified communication. Lync allows employees to communicate safely from any device on which there is an Internet connection, and automatically adapts to conditions of this network, integrates voice and video calls, conferences, presence statuses in a workplace and service of instant messaging.

The solution helped to consider features of branched infrastructure of the customer, the requirement in the field of security and already implemented and used software packages.

Project Results

The project is implemented in the shortest possible time without negative influence on operability of divisions. Preliminary comprehensive examination of a current status of IT infrastructure allowed to avoid widespread errors in deployment, setup and testing of Lync.

Dmitry Volodin, the head of the Center of solutions of Softline, noted: "Today Lync Server is the main instrument of communications of employees by Krask. The solution provides communication both in stationary workplaces, and on the mobile devices working on all widespread operating systems. Thanks to Lync implementation the customer managed to reduce considerably costs for mobile and fixed telephone communication, traveling expenses and service of means of communication".
