Group "Walk about" completed audit of purity of SAM

On February 4, 2014 the Softline company announced project completion of SAM Baseline according to the analysis of use of the software of Microsoft in Group "Walk about".

Project Tasks

For the beginning of February, 2014 the Microsoft company carries out the SAM Services program with participation of certified partners. This program of support of corporate clients assumes three-stage carrying out a full stroke of the procedures directed to improvement of quality of use of the software of Microsoft, increase in license compliance of the software of vendor set in the company.

SAM Baseline audit purposes:

• assessment of a current status of contracts for the software of Microsoft;
• identification of the actual number of relevant licenses softwares of vendor;
• identification of exact number of the used software of Microsoft;
• preparation of recommendations about optimization of software;
• preparation of recommendations about decrease in legal and financial risks of use of software of Microsoft;
• formation of the development plan for shared state of SAM (including purchases of software) for achievement of 100% of license compliance.

Project implementation of SAM in Group "Walk about" it is caused by need of assessment of the business risks connected with not optimal use of the software of Microsoft. As the partner in the project the agroholding selected Softline company.

Project Progress

The project covered all enterprises of group. Involved consultants of Softline and IT specialists of the enterprises and regional offices of agroholding in carrying out the analysis. For the customer the program became the first stage SAM Services and a starting point for work on two subsequent project stages.

Project Results

According to the results of audit specialists of Softline prepared recommendations about development of solutions for management of program assets and developed plans of optimization of IT infrastructure of the customer.
