Basel Aero implemented technology of optical recognition of data

On February 4, 2014 the company Gendalf announced project completion of system implementation of 1C: Document Flow 8 in an IT environment of Basel Aero.

Project Results

System implementation of electronic document management accelerated all processes connected with approval and the adoption of agreements and other documents. To each participant of such process certain time for approval of the document is allowed. In case of absence any of persons, responsible for signing, its powers are automatically delegated to an employee group with similar competences and job responsibilities. Acceptance of management decisions on providing special conditions for agreements (the list of the rendered services, payment deferrals, the periods of drawing of accounts and acts) was reduced till several o'clock though earlier this process could take several days. All document revisions are stored in electronic form now. The possibility of loss of documents is excluded by transfer between departments.

On October 3, 2016 the Basel Aero company announced the beginning of use of a product of ABBYY company at the airports of Anapa, Sochi, Krasnodar and Gelendzhik.

To be sure of the invariance of the text of documents, the staff of legal service of Basel Aero compares them to the approved electronic versions that requires time and attention. By means of ABBYY ScanDifFinder SDK everything is automatic and any differences in texts of documents come to light quickly. The solution helps to compare documents in text formats (*.docx, *.rtf) and graphic (*.pdf, *.jpg, *.tif, etc.).

The software tool helps to distinguish and compare automatically received from partners the scan copy of agreements with their approved electronic versions. By means of technology upgrade the company minimized risk of signing and the publication of the document revision, other than approved, and the staff of the airports does not spend time for their check manually.

The technology is integrated into the 1C: Document Flow system where process of comparison is executed in the background, and its result remains in the database. The staff of Basel Aero works with a product in the browser, already known for them, and software is not required to implement and support the companies additional.

For significant decrease in financial and operational risks regarding preparation and support of legal documentation, we began search of the solution capable to completely automate process of reconciliation of originals of agreements with their approved electronic versions. And, such solution had to work as a part of the system of 1C, already usual for the staff of legal service. ABBYY ScanDifFinder SDK met our requirements, and we are sure that with its help it will be possible to reduce significantly risk of signing and use of incorrect agreement revisions.
