Principle of operation

First stage. Network Scanning Choice - Entire network, IP range, or individual computer

Second stage. Adding computers to the database The program displays a list of PCs detected as a result of the scan and prompts you to add them to the accounting.

Third stage. Inventory Self-determine how to perform an inventory - across the entire iTMan Inventory database or on individual computers from the list.

Result. Data on computers (domain, name, installed operating system, synchronization, MAC address) and software (name, number of installations, etc.), which can be displayed as a table in csv format.

2015: Release of iTMan Inventory 3.4

On May 7, 2015, iTMan, a venture capital project of Softline Venture Partners and Moscow Seed Fund, announced the release of iTMan Inventory 3.4.

In previous versions of the solution, information was collected only about computers connected to the network, release 3.4 will ensure that all network equipment is taken into account. Among the announcements of the company is the possibility of a free inventory and accounting of all IT assets purchased by the customer in Softline.

iTMan Inventory 3.4 helps SNMP scanning identify device types on the network, collect and integrate information about all IT assets. The list of types of defined equipment (in addition to computers) includes routers (including wireless and DSL), access points, printers, PBXs.

Among the updates:

This service allows you to organize the accounting and control of your company's IT assets and evaluate the functionality of their inventory solutions.

2014

iTMan Inventory 3.2

In December 2014, ITMan announced the release of version 3.2 of the tool for inventory and accounting of programs, equipment and licenses. This release supplemented the main inventory functionality with new user filters and a license management tool, as well as an improved software recognition function. iTMan Inventory 3.2 will show information on the number of license rights available for each software product. Maintaining a software change history will show which software products have appeared or been updated and which have been removed since the last inventory.

iTMan Inventory 3.0

On August 25, 2014, ITMan announced the release of a new version of iTMan Inventory 3.0. This version of iTMan Inventory has added a software change history. The solution shows which software products have appeared and which have been removed since the last inventory.

In addition, iTMan Inventory has a software catalog that, together with recognition algorithms, shows which of the detected programs belongs to paid and which to freely distributed software. The storage product release uses Microsoft SQL Server. This results in a significant increase in iTMan Inventory performance, especially if the user needs to inventory a large fleet of PCs (from 1000 and above). To work with iTMan Inventory and create a database, the user just needs to install Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Express, available for free on the official Microsoft website.

iTMan Inventory 2.1

On April 10, 2014, ITMan announced the release of a new release of iTMan Inventory 2.1.

Among the changes and innovations is the addition of equipment inventory functionality.

iTMan Inventory supports the export of inventory data to the iTMan24 IT Asset Management Service. The user independently determines the parameters of scanning, inventory and data transfer, setting the required ranges in the process settings.

The release of the program is free and available for download on the company's website.

Users working with a previous version of iTMan Inventory will not have to reinstall the program thanks to the automatic update feature. When the administrator's computer is connected to the Internet, an icon appears on the Inventory toolbar to notify you of a new version.
