Content

On March 19, 2014 it became known of implementation project results in TechnoNIKOL corporation of a system of forecasting and demand on the platform of Oracle Value Chain Planning technology. The implementation project was carried out by Borlas Consulting group.

Project Tasks

The manufacturer and the supplier roofing, gidro-and heat-insulating materials and in particular heads of the Stone Cotton Wool business direction set the task - to provide balance of demand and sales so that on all chain – purchases, production, logistics, sales – there were no bottlenecks, and the enterprise could polchit the maximum effect of use of resources.

Project Progress

At the beginning of 2012 obtaining the connected and balanced sales plans and transactions started project implementation of preparation of an information system for improvement of operating activities, objective assessment of the situation in the market. For its accomplishment invited Borlas consulting group.

Before all information was stored in Excel tables and the separate systems therefore the first stage was begun with consolidation and creation of the normative reference information (NRI). In the market of offers for business process automation the company selected the system of the integrated business planning from the Oracle Value Chain Planning (VCP) family, the platform for management of all activities for demand management from supply chains of Oracle Demantra Demand Management and the solution for planning of the transactions Oracle Strategic Network Optimization.

Project Results

"A system operates with indicators of all 20 production lines of 6 plants more than 100 regions. Now we can execute tariffing, considering delivery zones, to calculate from what plant it is better to deliver certain goods and what type of transport, – Tatyana Bertova, the development director of a production system, the project manager from a business unit told "Stone cotton wool" of TechnoNIKOL corporation. – If in previous year we had a big problem with search of vehicles during a season, then now we have an opportunity in advance to be prepared, plan business process or even quickly to introduce amendments in plans if in the market there were changes. We have rather tight restrictions in relation to production capacities, and in other aspects we locate bigger freedom of action: we can increase if it is required, warehouse, to broaden the park of vehicles, to strengthen staff – the main thing that now we have an opportunity to predict business processes quickly and simply and also to bring information to all participants of a chain at any level. Besides, reports which formed at our enterprise to the project represented separate, separate and sometimes absolutely outdated versions of tables of Excel which to join with each other was extremely difficult and labor-consuming. Today all information on production processes and also all supply chain is in one storage and each specialist making the decision of the most different level has an access to up-to-date data".

During the project integration with the corporate data warehouse and the BI system of the direction on production of stone cotton wool is made for providing the reporting.
