Tele2 implemented the search engine

On March 24, 2014 the Softline company announced project completion on transfer in "cloud" of the external website and online store of Tele2 company. For the organization of full-function search within the website of the company the hardware-software solution Google Search Appliance is implemented.

Project Tasks

Within the project the operator was faced by a problem of creation of a reliable failsafe hosting with a possibility of flexible scaling of resources, expansions of the rented computing powers and the guaranteed Internet channel. To increase fault tolerance of solutions, to cut down expenses on IT infrastructure, the company made the decision on placement of web resources in "cloud".

Project implementation was charged by Softline companies.

Project Progress

The project is implemented within three months.

"At a stage of audit and project planning it became clear that completion of architecture of "cloud" for Tele2 is required. We consulted the customer, the contractor designing the website carried out preparation of infrastructure and setup of the environment of an environment for developers. And also made deployment of Windows Server 2012, a directory service of the Active Directory clustered by SQL Server of 2012 Enterprise in the AlwaysOn mode, configuring of backup and recovery, testing and debugging", - Artem Romanov, the specialist in cloud solutions of Softline noted. - Delivery of the GSA servers to DPC of Softline, connection and setup of the equipment, ensuring its fault-free functioning and contact with Web servers was made".

Ritvars Kriyevs, the technical director of Tele2, emphasized: "Tele2 pays special attention to cost reduction and high efficiency of each business process. Upon transition to the new website we considerably reduced costs for support due to use of the open platform with a possibility of independent completion and also simplified and automated a content management system. Use of modern technical solutions allows Tele2 to render high-quality services, and cost reduction − to provide to our subscribers services in the beneficial prices".
