Atlant Telecom (Velkom ATsS LLC) is the largest private telecommunication company in Republic of Belarus founded in 2000. Total number of subscribers, as of August of last year, was more than 190 thousand. The company provides Internet access on the basis of Ethernet and ADSL technologies and also services of cable and digital television (IPTV). In 2015 Atlant Telecom reported on 16 million euros operational revenue and more than 4 million euros EBITDA.

2017: Relocation of contact center

In the spring of 2017 the contact center of Atlant Telecom moved to the platform velcom and started free short number 150 which will replace numerous landline numbers.

Integration with velcom assumes not only physical relocation of contact center, but also consolidation of standards of service. Now Internetoperator will be able to use technical platforms and the velcom resources for process optimization. It is expected that in the long term issues of users of the fixed Internet will be resolved even quicker. So, percent of clients who were helped at the first address, it is going to raise to 90%, and to reduce percent of switching of clients to specialists of the second and the subsequent support lines twice.

Private and corporate clients of a brand of Atlant Telecom which are in Minsk, Vitebsk, Gomel, Mogilev, Grodno and Brest can get advice of the specialist in short phone number 150. Also by this number it is possible to leave the request for connection. Calls will be free from landline phones and also numbers of velcom and MTS.

Besides, to users there was well optimized voice menu (IVR) and an opportunity to order a call back to avoid long waiting in queue. In plans — start of the optimized order form of a call back on the website of Internetoperator in which it will be possible to specify to within a minute desirable time for communication.

Clients of mobile communication and the fixed Internet access are serviced by different divisions of subscriber services of velcom. However in the medium term the contact center will develop on model of the convergent telecom operators operating in Europe.

2016: Purchase of velcom

In November, 2016 the press service of the Belarusian velcom cellular operator announced purchase of Atlant Telecom company. Negotiations on sale of the private Internet service provider, largest in Belarus, began even in the spring of 2016.

As the press secretary of mobile operator said, 100% of shares of an authorized capital of a telecom were purchased by Telekom Austria Group (TAG) holding (velcom is subsidiary company of holding, and the holding belongs América Móvil (Mexico). After the termination of the transaction velcom and Atlant Telecom will work as the uniform company. Telekom Austria Group agreed about acquisition of 100% of an authorized capital of Atlant Telecom and Teleset subsidiary company at private investment company "ZUBR Capital" and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
