On March 26, 2014 the Zelax company announced delivery to Research and design institute of informatization, automation and communication on railway transport of the equipment for creation of a complex of information transfer from devices of railway automatic equipment on safety controls of high-speed trains.
Project Tasks
With implementation of a complex, information on the necessary high-speed mode of the movement of the train will be transferred to the safety controls located in the control cabin. Today information is given the driver visually by means of indications of traffic lights on stages and stations and on an inductive communication channel with the locomotive on the rail line. At the same time the volume of transmitted data does not allow to move with a speed over 160 km/h without use of an additional channel of communication about admissible motion speed.
Project Progress
In the delivery industrial MM-221 SHDSL modems, adapted for work at a temperature up to -40 °C, MM-522 routers and plug-in circuits.
The equipment Zelax ensures functioning of land infrastructure: solves problems of the organization and reservation of digital channels of RS-232 of copper communication lines, collection of data on a status of railway tracks from all modems located on stages.
As a part of a complex industrial computers with specialized software, devices of industrial automatic equipment, controllers, input-output modules, the auxiliary navigation GPS equipment.
By March 26, 2014 specialists NIIASA executed installation of equipment and develop software. In 2014 it is going to put a complex into test operation on Fryazevo's section – Drezna of the Moscow Railway 26 km long.
"Implementation of a complex will provide the organization of multiple-valued automatic locomotive signaling in high-speed trains, will improve the modes of driving and considerably will facilitate work of drivers of locomotives that eventually will increase traffic safety of trains, – Vladimir Voronin, the chief of department of implementation of the systems of railway automatic equipment and telemechanics NIIASA noted. – The technology of safe status scan of the devices distributed on railway stages in combination with data transmission on a radio channel will allow without significant upgrade of the operating devices of railway automatic equipment and onboard safety controls to increase motion speeds of trains without capacity reduction of the lines equipped with numerical code automatic lock-out".
"Last year was difficult and at the same time saturated. As for supplies of equipment to different divisions of the Russian Railway, they began to occupy in Zelax order portfolio even more essential share in comparison with 2012 and made 17% in 2013, – Vladimir Pashkevich, the CEO of Zelax told. – Cooperation with structures of the Russian Railway one of our priority directions. In public and mass markets the equipment of the Chinese producers prevails, we prefer to occupy a niche of unique specialized solutions. Among consumers of such solutions of the Russian Railway and also other companies of strategically important branches of the economy and government institutions".
