Alfa-Bank (Russia) (3Par Utility Storage)

This project became one of the first implementations of the innovation storage system in the Russian banking sector.

In previous years amounts of data, processed grew in Alfa-Bank as avalanche, and over time resources of the majority of storage systems were exhausted. Having been faced the need of the choice of the new platform, specialists of bank analyzed possibilities of the majority of systems from leading manufacturers. The main evaluation criteria became simplicity of migration from existing DWH, deep support of virtual environments, scalability, performance and reliability. As a result of preference were given to HP 3PAR.

Thanks to migration on HP 3PAR Alfa-Bank could provide performance and reliability of many services. The deep analysis of functioning of DWH allows to pass the decision, to optimize disk space, to dynamically redistribute loading between physical disks and to implement advantages of multilevel storage.
