Embarcadero Appmethod is the platform of development of individual and corporate applications.

On April 3, 2014 the Embarcadero Technologies company announced Appmethod exit – the full-function platform on the basis of components for development, both individual, and corporate applications. The implemented set of technologies, opportunities and funktsionalnost provides rapid application development for various devices running Android, iOS, Windows and OS X.

Description

Appmethod simplifies and accelerates development for different devices, allowing to create applications under all popular platforms on the basis of the uniform code: it is crucial both for the companies, and for independent developers in terms of rational use of resources and reduction of the total cost of development.

Unlike other solutions, Appmethod does not require existence of JavaScript interpreters (or virtual machines); the created applications are native and are performed directly on CPU. These native-applications work quickly and have small response time.

Appmethod supports services of corporate mobility for interaction with the middleware, cloud RESTful-services and suppliers of data by means of API and also connections with Oracle, the Microsoft SQL Server, IBM DB2, Informix and other platforms for improvement of data integration from any source.

Simple Appmethod services in installation for corporate mobility allow to do without IT department for ensuring distribution of applications; only one developer suffices to download, set Appmethod and right there to begin creation of modern applications of industrial level.

The product is offered on an annual subscription:

• to individual developers on - $299 in a year for each user on each platform
• to the companies - $999 a year for the developer, on each platform.

2014: New version of Appmethod

On June 19, 2014 the Embarcadero company announced a release of the new version of Appmethod.

In the new version developers can use C ++ for creation of full-function applications for Android, iOS, Windows and Mac OS X. Embarcadero Technologies offers Appmethod as the platform of development of native applications for different devices on the basis of the uniform source code and without damage of performance, with access to different platforms and user interfaces.
