Softline implemented Office 365 in aviation university

On April 14, 2014 the Softline company announced creation of a mail system on the Microsoft Office 365 platform in MSTU of HECTARE.

Project Tasks

Growth of number of servers and jobs, lack of a local mail system in MSTU of HECTARE caused increase in load of the department of system administration responsible for IT infrastructure. It negatively affected quality and speed of work of employees. The simple and fast solution allowing to provide users with the integrated communications was required.

Inherited by software did not give to employees of reliable access to e-mail, and implementation of a local mail system with the organization of a uniform input could demand from the university of big investments and resources of IT departments. The management of MSTU of HECTARE made the decision to migrate on Microsoft Office 365 to provide the staff of university with a uniform mail service.

With implementation the university received in use a messenger service with a capacity of mailboxes up to 50 GB, a possibility of joint work over documents and file storage (the cloud storage of Skydrive Pro) with a capacity up to 25 GB for each user, tools for carrying out audio-and video conferences with the maximum quantity of participants up to 1 thousand human. As a part of the offer of security accreditation - provides vendor.

After supplier analysis of cloud services by the partner of the project selected Softline company.

Project Progress

During the project the integrator unrolled a failover cluster of the ADFS, ADFS Proxy and DirSync servers on the cloud platform of Softline, organized synchronization of a directory service with Office 365 and provided access to a cloud service for all users. Integration of uniform point of entry and the website of the university is carried out.

Implementation of Office 365 creates a scalable, reliable and failsafe mail system, 400 users are provided with access to a reliable mail service.

2015

December 10, 2015. The Softline company announced project completion on hybridization of cloud services and local infrastructure in MSTU of HECTARE.

Work of the existing IT-infrastructure was as a result optimized, its opportunities are expanded and administration of systems is simplified.

The authorization keys configured in the project progress increased flexibility of a system, provided uniform access to all services and simplified authentication. As a result each user received the personal account, access to which is possible from any device regardless of location.

Upon completion of works specialists of Softline held consultations for the staff of university and IT-specialists in questions of use of services and technical support.

"At solution development for us it was important to provide availability of all Microsoft Office applications 365 both in internal network of university, and beyond its limits.
