On April 14, 2014 the Oktoprint Service company announced implementation of the ECM solution on the Microsoft SharePoint platform.

Project Tasks

In the company IT, however at the level of automation of specific sites of works and divisions are used. According to Oleg Krasnoborov, the CEO of Oktoprint Servisa, by the end of 2012 there was obvious a bottleneck in development of the company - effective management of its activity. There was a question of need of integration of the separate systems to coordinate separate transactions in uniform process, to provide transparency of the state of affairs and acceleration of acceptance of management decisions.

"At that moment our information base represented a set of separate storages on different regional servers in the form of folders with the files containing compoundings and data on calculation of the price. Also reference books of the prices were stored. Paints ordered through the system of electronic accounting, but each region had a similar system the — Oleg Krasnoborov noted. — The consolidated control was absent, to analyze the state of affairs in a complex was impracticable. To me, for example, it was very difficult to obtain the necessary information, and about mobile data access of the speech did not go at all".

Project Progress

As the contractor attracted Postbs company to project implementation. Having discussed possible candidate solutions of an assigned task, came to a conclusion that the speech should go not about replacement of already existing applications and systems, and about their information integration, using rather simple, but effective remedies.

The company should find as fast as possible the implemented solution allowing without long personnel training without big capital costs to create production chains of management. Development term before the first start was less than one quarter.

As the software solution several different products were considered, but as a result selected the platform Microsoft SharePoint, and from its newest version 2013 (released shortly before it), in combination with DBMS SQL Server 2012, a packet Microsoft Office and also with OLAP- the solution QlikView.

The project is begun in February, 2013, in the Moscow branch start of Microsoft SharePoint 2013 in work took place in three months. The project affects production divisions, sales departments, accounting, a warehouse, technical service.

Project Results

In September, 2013 a system earned in all branches (Yekaterinburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, Tver, Novosibirsk, Rostov, St. Petersburg).

Yaroslav Petunin, the CEO of Postbs, told: "After implementation of a new system the company management had an opportunity to trace in real time all stages of passing of the order (from registration before shipment from warehouse). And all this can be done without binding to a workplace — in any point where there is an Internet access. We managed to reduce labor costs of technologists and production, integration with the system of 1C allowed to construct summary reports on shipments and write-offs".

The total cost of an implementation project was about 1.5 million rubles. Costs entered it:

  • acquisition and installation of hardware (one-server installation),
  • server and client software,
  • services in development and deployment (including training) systems.

The structure of project team from the customer:

  • project manager, chief technologist and developer of reports.

From the contractor: developer of reports, project manager, programmer and consultant-analyst.
