To Bakhetla mutually integrated ERP systems and EDI

On April 21, 2014 it became known of project completion of integration of a corporate information system of SAP with the system of electronic exchange of the documents EDI in Bakhetle company. The project was implemented by IBS group.

Project Tasks

As a part of Bakhetle network of 26 supermarkets of homemade food. Support of activity of the company, including purchases and settlings with suppliers, is performed using SAP solutions. For simplification and acceleration of partner interaction the company decided to integrate the system of SAP with information systems of suppliers using the platform of electronic exchange of the documents EDI.

Project Progress

Works on integration of a corporate system and the EDI platform were executed by the IBS command.

Specialists of IBS within two months studied requirements of the operator of the EDI platform to information exchange, approved with it data integration formats between the ERP system and the EDI platform, configured the program interface of bidirectional document transfer between systems and held testing of systems.

The first stage of integration started action for three document types:

• purchase order,
• confirmation,
• notification on acceptance.

The created IBS solution can be expanded on any quantity of new document types, without additional costs.

By means of IBS the works which are carried out by specialists, interaction of the company with suppliers significantly became simpler and accelerated. Specialists of the customer had an opportunity of placement of supply requisitions directly from SAP ERP. At the same time created in SAP the purchasing request it is automatically transferred to an information system of the supplier and is accepted to execution.

Almaz Gadelshin, the CIO of Bakhetle company, told: "During operation of SAP constantly there are various tasks of development of functions of a system, and such partner as IBS company, with its broad examination, helps us to solve them. Integration on EDI – one of similar tasks which we could expedite successfully. Despite difficult process of approval of technical requirements to integration between us, the operator of EDI and also functional restrictions of a system, we could implement this project completely within originally coordinated the budget and terms".

In March, 2014 a system is transferred to the mode of production operation.
