The government of Zabaykalsky Krai controls the city of Chita using video systems

On April 18, 2014 the Mobile TeleSystems company (MTS) and the Government of Zabaykalsky Krai announced implementation of the first stage of the program for installation of video surveillance systems on streets of Chita within which the operator provided digital channels of data transmission.

Project Progress

During the first stage of the project MTS connected by network of fixed connection of the video camera in a number of districts of the city and an operations control room of the Transbaikal center of implementation of the innovative technologies.

For data transmission of MTS uses secure channels of data transmission that allows to guarantee stable network functioning at the expense of a data transmission exception through the public Internet. It is until the end of the year going to expand the project and to provide with communication channels of MTS of the video camera, set on all city in places of mass accumulation of citizens, on busy streets and squares of the city and also at railway and bus stations, in the largest shopping and entertainment centers, on apartment houses, schools and kindergartens.

The project is implemented on the basis of resources of fixed connection of the operator of MTS. The network of surveillance cameras integrated with the systems of intellectual processing of video, other equipment, engineering devices and the software for operational obtaining information on non-staff, emergency situations and disturbing events, situations on roads is created.

Project Results

"For the government of Zabaykalsky Krai very important task is implementation of the innovation projects aimed at security of residents of the region. The developed network fixed and a cellular network in the region therefore for solving of tasks of functioning of a video surveillance system in the territory of Chita we use reliable, hi-tech data networks should form a basis for such projects. One of three operators meeting conditions of quality of the provided services is the MTS company. According to all-federal statistics when installing the systems of city video surveillance of number of the street crimes and crimes committed in public places it is reduced by 20-25%, it is possible to organize with higher quality work in case of emergencies and liquidation of their effects more quickly" — Valery Alekseev, the Head of Department of informatization and communication of Zabaykalsky Krai told.

"Last year MTS carried out large-scale upgrade of network of fixed connection and construction in Chita that allowed to increase considerably reliability of network and speed of Internet connection twice, - Vladimir Amosov, the director of MTS in Zabaykalsky Krai noted. - The upgraded MTS network became a basis for modern solutions in the field of telecommunications, the joint project department of informatization and communication of Zabaykalsky Krai a visual example of that. We are glad that today communication services of MTS allow to provide the high level of security and to improve quality of life of the population of Chita and Zabaykalsky Krai"
