TUI Ukraine takes out IT infrastructure in "cloud"

On April 28, 2014 the Softline Ukraine company announced transfer of tour operator of TUI Ukraine on Apps Google services.

Project Tasks

The management of TUI Ukraine made the decision to optimize costs and to transfer all divisions of the company to uniform IT infrastructure. Key solution specifications:

• availability of e-mail in the domain of the company with access from any place in the world,
• possibility of joint editing documents,
• creation of promo-pages,
• optimal ratio of cost and functionality and so forth.

The company selected cloud services of Google Apps for Business. E-mail was decided to be transferred to the corporate version of Gmail, and for safe storage and file sharing to use the corporate version of Google Drive. Maintenance of process of transition and technical support of the project were carried out by Softline company.

One of advantages of the selected solution - fast and easy migration of e-mails from the outdated systems, flexible building of opportunities of IT infrastructure without purchase of the additional hardware and the software.

Project Results

Project deliverable - the organization of modern corporate mail on the basis of Gmail without big capital costs. After transition to a new solution the volume of storage for each user increased to 30 GB.

TUI Ukraine significantly reduced costs for support of corporate mail and office applications. In the nearest future the company is going to connect to Google Apps of all other employees and to begin use of Google services of Apps for joint work with documents, videokonferetssvyaz, etc. Thanks to Google Sites, the staff of marketing department creates the internal websites or promo-pages under special projects.
