The hosting company Infobox started in June, 2014 a public cloud platform of InfoboxCloud in one of the most reliable Russian DPC DataSpace the TIER III level, certified by the international organization Uptime Institute.

At the beginning of 2013 the Infobox company began to provide to the clients cloud infrastructure under the InfoboxCloud brand based on the platform of the enterprise-class Parallels Automation for Cloud Infrastructure. For last year interest in new service of the company significantly increased — "in a cloud" about 10 thousand virtual servers were created. Clients of the company it not only owners of web projects, but also large corporate clients and also IT integrators — partners of the company. They impose increased requirements to security and smooth operation of infrastructure. Therefore the company management of Infobox made the decision to open an additional location for InfoboxCloud.

The data centers having the certificate of TIER III Facility have the infrastructure guaranteeing time of smooth operation at the level of 99.98% of the general time of functioning of DPC.

While in the Russian market of data centers declarations of conformity of data center to the Tier II or Tier III level often meet, unconfirmed appropriate certificates, DataSpace the first in Russia and Eastern Europe received certification of two types: Tier III Design (on compliance of the project documentation) and Tier III Facility (check of infrastructure of data center).

The offer of Infobox company is focused on corporate clients who are going to transfer to a cloud infrastructure of the enterprises and also on integrators and the outsourcing companies implementing different IT projects for the clients. Data storage in a cloud in the territory of Russia will allow Infobox to expand a circle of potential clients and to offer services to state companies and state institutions.

2014: InfoboxCloud expansion

On August 18, 2014 it became known of rendering services by Infobox company in Krasnoyarsk on the basis of data center of Vebra company.

In July, 2014 the company started a virtual hosting in Amsterdam.

Clients of InfoboxCloud created already more than 15 thousand cloud servers

In November, 2014 the Hosting company InfoboxCloud announced that the quantity of the cloud servers created by clients of the company based on the Parallels Automation Cloud Infrastructure (PACI) platform less than in two years exceeded 15 thousand. And nearly a third of this quantity was created for the last two months. Specialists of InfoboxCloud analyzed statistics of use of cloud servers: the main output – such explosive growth says that the companies of small and medium business were already convinced of economy opportunities on infrastructure thanks to cloud services, and these advantages outweigh concerns about safety of data storage in clouds.

"Our own annual researches of cloud requirements of the companies of small and medium business (Parallels SMB Insights) speak about the same: in the world the concern factor for confidentiality of the data occupies the second, but not the first place in the rating of the reasons of unwillingness to use clouds, - the senior vice president for Parallels automation product development Melnikov Oleg confirms. – In the world in the reasons the investments which are once made in the existing IT infrastructures already are on the first place – and this factor will be leveled also over time. Such growth of trust is also result of the fact that densely deal with data protection issues in clouds both developers of cloud business services, and providers of data centers, and vendors of cloud platforms. We in Parallels have a number of the research projects devoted to the solution of this task".

The second reason of growth of quantity of cloud servers in InfoboxCloud also consider start of additional locations of the platform in Moscow and Amsterdam in addition to a cloud in St. Petersburg. In Moscow the PACI platform is placed in the most reliable Russian data center of DataSpace which received three types of certification (TIER III Design, Facility and Operations). Placement of a public cloud in data center of such level is the first case in the Russian market, and, certainly, corporate clients saw in it an opportunity to solve the most responsible problems taking into account increased requirements to security and reliability. The location in Amsterdam at the same time was started counting on clients with global international projects.

Use by the company of the distributed failsafe storage system of Parallels Cloud Storage virtual machines became the third reason. Thanks to this technology, three copies of these clients are at the same time stored in a cloud that allows them not to worry for safety of data in case of failure of one of servers. Experts of the company note that it served as a factor for transition to InfoboxCloud of a number of users of physical dedicated servers.

InfoboxCloud analyzed how clients use the created cloud servers. It became clear that the main consumers are a small and medium business (though in the company there is also a number of large corporate clients), and the most popular scenarios of use is placement on the server of Online store or the website of the company with the description of its services. In this case clients usually speak about progressive replacement of a web hosting with a possibility of regulation of consumption of such quantity of resources which is necessary for business at present, in combination with full control of the virtual server. However already on the second place in popularity (with a small gap) - transfer of IT infrastructure in a cloud. At the same time most of clients (56%) have several servers on the account (on average - more than 2 servers). By the way, most of all resources are consumed in all respects by users with infrastructure on Windows Server, they have on average a bigger quantity of cloud servers on the account (4 servers and more).

The company also notes that the average monthly bill of clients for use of IaaS-services from InfoboxCloud is much less than monthly charges and service of own server framework. It attracts both the companies of small and medium business, and large corporate clients.

Due to the recent start of a location in Amsterdam it was also interesting to specialists to estimate whether clients configure georeplication of own services and databases. It turned out that it is done by only units, and most often clients use either one or other location depending on requirements. Nevertheless, in the company consider that existence of several locations seriously influenced growth of number of clients: it was an important argument for benefit of the choice of a cloud even if the client as a result uses only one.

"Now cloud infrastructure of InfoboxCloud grows intermittently, and it because in the companies of small and medium business already understood: it is more profitable to use a cloud, than own IT infrastructure therefore the economy wins against scepticism, - the CEO of InfoboxCloud company Bakhtiarov Alexey says. – We expect that these rates in the short term will remain also growth of number of users and trust to cloud solutions will continue. In crisis (or in relatives to crisis) situations the first in queue on reduction are expenses on IT infrastructure and personnel. Cloud solutions allow to make it much less painfully, and preventive transfer in clouds – in general to avoid this situation".
