Biography

The Runa Capital venture fund specializing in investments into technology projects announced in May, 2013 Oleg Melnikov's appointment to a position of the technical director. Along with it it will continue work as the senior vice president of Parallels for automation.

In combination Melnikov will be responsible for accomplishment of three main objectives in Runa Capital:

• carrying out technology assessment of the companies which Runa Capital considers as potential objects for investment;
• consultations and support of the management of the companies from a portfolio of fund for creation and operation of technologies, to the development plan for products and program architecture, determination of key performance indicators and use of the relevant technical solutions;
• start of Runa University and
• carrying out Runa Srartup Bootcamp — the training project for portfolio companies and startups potentially interesting to fund with involvement of experts, famous in the IT industry.

According to Runa Capital, Oleg Melnikov, the co-founder of Parallels having more than 15-year experience in the field of software development directs group from more than 200 engineers. It has profound knowledge experience in the field of Internet technologies, development of Internet-applications, electronic trading systems and automation of cloud computing. Melnikov graduated from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology where he received degrees of the bachelor and the master on physics.
