Emtika implements ERP from Microsoft

On June 19, 2014 the IT-Box company announced a project startup on implementing solution for automation of business on Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 platform in Emtika company.

Project Tasks

Long time in Emtika company the system of own development in which development IT specialists of the company without attraction of external resources were engaged functioned. By 2013 the platform is considerably obsolete and could not ensure a stable company performance, did not support new business processes, required data processing rate. Failures are frequent. The data security became an important factor for the management in the decision on transition to more modern Microsoft Dynamics AX platform.

"Our company grows in this connection, load of an old system continues to increase, – Denis Zaytsev, the Chief information officer of Emtika company told. – Because on each working computer there was a separate database, it was difficult to us to ensure safety of information. IT department wasted many efforts to creation of control functions and modifications in a system".

The company management made the decision on system implementation on the Microsoft Dynamics AX platform.

It is expected that implementation of the western industrial system will allow Emtika company to automate, unify and standardize processes in geographically distributed structure of branches and representations in the central Russia. The tasks connected with the information access layers, implemented in the latest version of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 system will be solved.

For the choice of the partner in implementation the Emtika company held the tender. The consulting company IT-Box underwent selection.

Project Progress

The project began in November, 2013. One of the main objectives at an analysis stage - the description of processes "as is" and "as will be" that demanded the high level of participation of key staff of Emtika company. The main result of this stage - the requirement description to a system and development of "design of the solution".
