MGTS reserves computing powers

On July 2, 2014 JSC Moscow City Telephone Network announced system implementation of georeservation of the equipment of a packet communication network of data in corporate data centers.

Project Progress

MGTS completed implementation in a data processing center in Moscow of the system of georeservation of the equipment of IT systems. It will increase reliability of provision of services to subscribers of the company.

On two geographically spaced platforms the synchronous management systems for internal IT infrastructure of MGTS and information billing systems which are responsible for management of services at subscribers, access to Personal account of the user and other services are placed. In case of restrictions in work as one of systems or platforms, reserve data center will undertake loading thanks to what subscribers will be able to use company services in full without stopping of services.

Project Results

In 2014 MGTS upgraded engineering infrastructure of own DPCs, providing almost double growth of total powers of data centers. Use of the latest developments in the field of power supply, conditioning and communication technologies brought data centers of the company into accord with requirements for reliability and fault tolerance of the equipment of the TIER III level.

Use of new network based on GPON technology allows the company to develop and implement actively modern services, such as video surveillance, the security fire warning which require considerable service lives and information systems. Therefore we not only expand the capacity of network and we implement new services, but also we aim to provide the maximum reliability of operation of the equipment in any conditions", - Evgeny Kanayev, the Acting CIO of MGTS noted.
