The number of users of service packages of MGTS in a year grew by GPON networks by 1.6 times

• Extent of an optical network of GPON for the end of 2015 reached 40 thousand km. An opportunity to connect services in the latest technology is given to 3,920,000 apartments of the capital or more than 95% of all households of Moscow
• At the end of 2015 the number of users services from MGTS based on GPON network grew by 31% one year prior to 1,450,000 clients
• The number of the clients who connected packets from two and more services increased in a year by 63% and reached 900,000 that makes 62% of the subscriber base connected on an optical network
• The number of connections to the Internet at a speed from 100 Mbps in 2015 increased more than six times, at the same time the share of users of high-speed rates exceeded 55% of all base broadband access subscribers in comparison with 33% in 2014
• The number of subscribers of mobile communication of MGTS rendered on the MVNO model on MTS networks was more than 120 thousand for the end of 2015
• Due to the filling of the most popular TV-packet by HD channels Basic, more than 85% of subscribers of home TV are watched by high-quality TV channels without additional subscriptions
• Data transfer rate in city network MGTS in hours of peak load grew by 1.5 times and made 437 Gbps on the end of the year. About 70% of traffic are the share of strimingovy services. Muscovites in 2015 on average used the home Internet from four to five hours in day.

The first quarter 2014: More than a half of the Moscow subscribers of MGTS are connected to GPON network

JSC Moscow City Telephone Network, one of the largest operators of local wire communication in Europe entering into Group of MTS announced in May, 2014 results of development of a high-speed optical network of GPON (Gigabit Passive Optical Network) according to the results of the first quarter 2014.

MGTS constructed in Moscow 26 000 of km of optical lines of communication, in comparison with the same period of last year the extent of network increased by 1.5 times. For April 1, 2014 2,300,000 subscribers of the company or more than a half of subscribers of MGTS had technical capability of connection to an optical network of GPON.

In a year the number of users of services based on new technology grew up more than by 2.2 times and was 730,000 subscribers. The number of users of services of Double and Triple Play grew more than three times to 330,000 clients, the percent of penetration of additional services – broadband access in the Internet and television among the connected GPON – grew from 32 to 45%.

Solutions of MGTS are based on opportunities of an optical network of GPON and provide data transfer rates to 300 Gbps on the transport network and up to 1 Gbps in the direction to the subscriber that allows to develop new complex products for the house, business and public institutions.

Over one million subscribers of MGTS at the end of 2014 connected services based on GPON network

• More than 3,500,000 subscribers of the capital already have an opportunity to connect services in the latest technology that is almost twice more than for the same period of 2013.
• In a year the number of users services from MGTS based on GPON network grew up by one and a half times and reached more than 1100 000 people.
• Penetration of service packages on an optical network of the company exceeded 50%, the number of the subscribers who connected Double/Triple Play in comparison with the same period of 2013 increased by 75% and exceeded 550,000 people.
• The popularity of HD channels grew by 25% - they are watched by every fourth subscriber of digital TV connected on GPON technology.
• Internet traffic volume in MGTS network since the beginning of year increased 45%, at the same time over 60% of subscribers of wire broadband access Internet use services of stream audio and video.
• Growth of number of subscribers of broadband access in the Internet and interactive digital television based on GPON network in a corporate segment for last year was more than 50%.
• Among the state and budget organizations there is a number of users of high-speed Internet access and digital TV based on an optical network of the company since the beginning of year increased almost by 40%.
• Penetration of packets from several services among corporate clients of MGTS exceeded 25% whereas for the beginning of year every tenth used packets. Most often subscribers of MGTS selected the packet from three services including digital television together with Internet access and telephony. The number of corporate subscribers of digital TV grew up six times in comparison with December of last year.
• Start of service of cellular communication in the MVNO model (Mobile Virtual Network Operator) became one of the most large-scale projects of 2014. MGTS in partnership with MTS for the first time in Russia expanded package offers to 6-play, including broadband Internet access, the fixed telephony, paid TV; mobile Internet and calls, mobile TV.
• MGTS of the first brought to the market an Internet rate with a revolutionary speed up to 500 Mbps, GPON available to all private subscribers of an optical network in any point of Moscow.
• MGTS started service White Internet based on one of the most modern platforms on traffic management which allows subscribers to personalize Internet traffic under the requests, to filter the websites as to the text address the Internet of the page (URL), and to type of protocols (network games, a torrent, video downloadings).
• Within the joint program with State Budgetary Institution Maly business Moskvy directed to support of the enterprises of small and medium business, MGTS developed the universal rate at the special price including unlimited telephony, wire broadband access Internet and a packet of digital television based on GPON network.
• MGTS began implementation of the latest automatic control system with the client equipment based on TR-069 standard (Technical Report 069) that allows to control online communication parameters, to analyze a profile of consumption of services and a status of subscriber devices and also to remotely set up the equipment of clients, opening access to the latest services MGTS.
• The company upgraded engineering infrastructure of own data processing centers, having provided almost double growth of total powers of data centers and also implemented the systems of georeservation of the equipment of IT systems.
• MGTS completed implementation of the multimedia IMS platform (IP Multimedia Subsystem) that gave the chance of the company to create network infrastructure of new generation and to begin transfer of clients to modern technologies of package channel switching.
• The company opened the center of scheduling of work of the removed personnel constructed based on the SAP Workforce Management platform which allows to coordinate in real time work of removed personnel taking into account specialization of employees, their load and location.
