MGTS upgrades DPC

On July 2, 2014 the IT company announced reconstruction of reserve DPC by request of MGTS.

Project Tasks

Due to the deployment of new services in Moscow, implementation of the advanced telecommunication technologies and digital platforms load of the existing data processing center of "Moscow City Telephone Network" (MCTN) company considerably increased.

The management of MGTS made the decision on upgrade of a complex of the information and engineering systems.

Based on the held competition, works on reconstruction of DPC of MGTS entrusted IT company.

Project Progress

The project is begun in the fall of 2013. For solving of tasks the customer selected the engineering equipment Schneider Electric and a structured cabling system of Systimax.

During upgrade of DPC complete cleaning of the server ^{premises about 200 sq.m} is carried out, dismantling of the engineering systems is executed, and then the new systems of providing data center are installed.

Project Results

MGTS received in the order modern DPC in structure:

• air ventilation and air conditioning system
• power supply system
• the system of the structured cable network
• video surveillance system
• control and management system for access
• automatic fire alarm system
• automatic system of gas fire extinguishing
• the warning system and managements of evacuation of people at the fire
• monitoring system
• different architectural and construction solutions

Before upgrade, providing the continuity of work of MGTS services, specialists of IT organized temporary solution on placement of the server hardware in other premises of the IT block. Thus, telecommunication company services managed to save operability of DPC in the course of its upgrade.
