Medem completed the complex project of deployment of IT infrastructure

Content

On July 17, 2014 the Softline company announced project completion on upgrade of network infrastructure and service of corporate telephony in MEDEM clinic.

Project Tasks

Trying to provide to patients the maximum level of service and high-quality medical services, MEDEM uses modern technologies in the organization of medical process and in the activity, the IT services helping to increase efficiency. The IT department of the International clinic MEDEM was faced by a problem of upgrade of the operating network infrastructure and a number of key services. With respect thereto several versions of its solution on the basis of the equipment of different suppliers were considered. A choice is made for benefit of the products Cisco Systems. The partner for execution of works on the project - Softline company.

Project Progress

After the comprehensive analysis of an assigned task IT specialists of the International clinic MEDEM together with experts of Softline created the project of a scalable convergent solution, created the schedule of project implementation.

"Initially the working schedule on the project was quite tough: it is necessary to observe deadlines of delivery, design and implementation of the product-based complete solution of Cisco. All this imposed serious responsibility on a project team of highly qualified specialists of Softline and the International clinic MEDEM. However the correct selection of specialists and competent management of the project allowed to implement all planned works in time", - Andrey Ognerubov, the CIO of the International clinic MEDEM told.
"In a project deliverable the scalable failsafe solution was created, access rate to IT services of clinic is increased. The contact center successfully works at the new platform of telephony. All users were provided with IP phones of different models depending on business necessity", - Mikhail Chernyshev, the head of sales of solutions of Softline company in the Northwestern Federal District noted.

Project Results

The project helped the customer to receive the updated network infrastructure constructed on the basis of the modern high-speed Cisco switches Catalyst 3850; implement the platform of VoIP-telephony, the system of DECT telephony (KIRK). The IP telephony system is implemented based on corporate automatic telephone exchange of Cisco Unified Communications Manager unrolled in the mode of a failover cluster on two Cisco UCS servers. Within the project the service of a video conferencing created on the Cisco TelePresence SX20 platform is organized. It gives to management of clinic the chance to quickly make management decisions and to hold meetings from any place in the world, to communicate with colleagues from other countries.

"Creation of the product-based complete infrastructure solution of Cisco allowed not only to reduce time for consolidation of all systems, but also to organize full operable seamless integration between them, - according to the best practices of equipment manufacturer and the software. Such solution allows to provide uniform point of entry in the service center of vendor, so - to considerably reduce a response time by the arising service incident and to quickly fix problems in operability of a system", - Andrey Smalkov, the architect of the project of Softline company emphasized.
