Investtorgbank changes the core banking system and reserves Oracle Exadata DBMS

On May 28, 2014 it became known of completion of deployment of Oracle Exadata in Investtorgbank. At the heart of the project - need of ensuring work of the new the automated banking system (ABS). The partner in the project Jet Infosystems company.

Project Tasks

Transition of bank to the new core banking system on the platform DBMS Oracle is connected with the increased loading, and, the software solution used earlier ceased to cope with it. For effective functioning of the implemented applied system the reliable, scalable, high-performance hardware-software platform was required. Important criterion - deployment speed. The bank selected a complex Oracle Exadata. The company "became the contractor of the project in Itinfrastruktura's creation Jet Infosystems".

Project Progress

Audit of an IT landscape of Investtorgbank revealed the shortage of the server areas and power supply for placement of a hardware and software system and its reservation. An optimal variant - lease of commercial DPC: the second platform provided protection of a system not only against single machine failures, but against emergencies with any of buildings. This solution cost cheaper expansions of own data center and provided a possibility of further development of IT infrastructure. On both platforms an IT environment as a part of which a blade servers, DWH, networks of transfer and storage of data is created. Specialists of Oracle together with the partner made successful installation of the Oracle Exadata complexes generally and reserve data centers.

Project Results

For May 28, 2014 the project team develops the ABS database in a cluster environment taking into account the principles of architecture of the maximum availability.

According to requirements to placement of a complex the IT landscape of the existing DPC of bank is upgraded and infrastructure on the reserve platform for providing otkazo-and disaster tolerance is constructed. In both data centers of Investtorgbank the optimized hardware and software systems Oracle Exadata Database Machine are set.
