On August 1, 2014 the 1C-Rarus company announced the final of a pilot project of automation of dealer network of Scania Rus company on the 1C:Enterprise 8 platform. At the heart of a system - industry solution of the company "the Alpha Car: Motor show + Car service + Auto parts".
Project Tasks
In the territory of Russia more than 50 dealer and service centers Scania which are dealers of Scania Rus company work. Daily they service and repair more than 600 cars. For successful work of each dealer station it is necessary to obtain constantly from the distributor data on receipt of new cars, spare parts, to update price lists, standards of works and many other things. The nomenclature of spare parts and work types in the service centers makes more than 130 thousand names. Besides, permanent interaction of dealers with the distributor is necessary at accomplishment of warranty repairs, works on service contracts, at execution of claims.
Earlier all data exchange between the distributor and dealers was made by e-mail therefore the distributor and dealers could not always guarantee each other timely providing necessary data.
The management Scania Rus made the decision on creation of an automated system for dealers of the company. It was supposed to make with its help work of dealer stations uniform, to organize for them regular data exchange with the distributor. Dealers could bring management of warehouse stocks, a time recording of employees and other aspects of the work into compliance with corporate standards of Scania. A system should provide the distributor's employees with information for the analysis of activity of dealer network and decision making on its improvement and development.
As a basis of a new system Alpha Cars selected the solution ": A motor show + Car service + Auto parts", implemented on the 1C:Enterprise 8 platform.
For implementation 1C-Rarus companies addressed the solution designer.
Project Progress
The pilot project is implemented within three months. For August 1, 2014 in a system more than 180 users work at the trade and service platforms located in the Moscow, Leningrad regions and also in Sochi, Petrozavodsk and Vyborg.
Project Results
- In information bases of dealers of Scania reference books of spare parts and service works are updated automatically. For the most popular services in a system activity lists of which these services consist are in advance made. It allows not to make at order placement every time the activity list again, and to create it "one click". As a result the staff of the service centers can 5-10 times quicker, than earlier, to make calculation and to tell the customer the list and cost of necessary spare parts and also structure of works and term of their accomplishment.
- Exchange of electronic documents between information bases of the distributor and dealers is configured. Now multiline consignment notes and other documents can be processed in seconds, excepting the mistakes made at manual entry. There was an opportunity to accelerate decision making according to claims and by 2-3 times to reduce terms of waiting of the answer for clients.
- In a new system the control technique warehouse stocks recommended by head company Scania is used. It allowed to support stocks of the spare parts and materials necessary for accomplishment of service works in dealer warehouses, avoiding overstocking. At the same time dealers need much less time for preparation of orders for replenishment of the warehouse.
- The system of accounting of working time of employees is implemented. Quickly acquired information about absence of this or that master allows to replace it in time or to timely approve transferring of expected date of completion of the ordered works with the client. Regulations of time and price policy of the service centers allow to create the analysis of planned and actual runtime of technology transactions objectively.
Vladimir Zinchenko, the director of information technology of Scania Rus company, noted:
- A new system was rather easily accepted by our dealers as their most part used solutions of a line of Alpha Car or other solutions created on the 1C:Enterprise 8 platform earlier. Now at our company as at the distributor, information exchange with dealers is constructed uniformly. Our managers and heads can pay more attention to the analysis of results of activity of dealer network and planning of its development now. We plan further replication of a system for all 50 trade and service platforms of our dealer network.
