Tasks

Lama Group sets as the next purpose not only development of own retail network, but also increase in a share of distribution in sales pattern and also deliveries of products to external clients according to the scheme of cooperation. It is a serious call for logistics divisions: warehouse and transport logistics should be transparent for all services of the company and provide the greatest possible level of service. At the same time, the company should have an opportunity to control costs for logistics which essentially influence the final price of a product and the profit of the company.

It means for the distribution center that processing of goods should be conducted at the same time by absolutely different rules. Requirements of retail for the level of service, formation a pallet under plano-grams of shops considerably differ from the same rules for distribution where on one transport pallet the goods of several points of delivery can be built at once. Taking into account limited warehouse space, it requires the extraordinary organization of processes of storage-selection-control-shipment.

Goods of such groups in itself as Alcohol (control of dates of a flood), Vegetables Fruit (weight net/gross, control of a turnover container, drying), freezing and an okhlazhdenka (weight and piece goods at the same time) require separate processing.

To minimize costs for transport logistics, it is necessary to perform a joint delivery of products both on shops of retail network, and on external clients. But at the same time, it is necessary to consider rules of transportation of the frozen and cooled products, compatibility of groups of goods in one car and many other criteria, of which the level of delivery service for different clients is important. Without automated system of planning of routes it is impossible to cope with such task.

The warehouse management system existing on the distribution center did not meet the listed requirements. The flexible system capable, on the one hand, to cover all current business processes of a warehouse by all types of products, on the other hand, ready to development and fast changings was necessary. At the same time, need of automation of transport logistics dictated the need for the system of the class TMS which is closely integrated with a warehouse management system

Solution

Having held the large tender, Lama Group stopped the choice on the warehouse management systems IsWMS and controls of IsTransport transport of InStock Technologies company. These systems are developed on one platform, closely integrated with each other, and jointly cover all required business processes of the company.

Processes of IsWMS are supported by the following features necessary for Lama Group: 1. In management of goods and a container: a. Recognition of quantity on scanning of the group barcode of packaging b. Accounting of volume and weight characteristics of goods at placement it in different types of cells taking into account their residual volume/weight c. The lot-based accounting including tracking by information connected with a batch such for example, as the average weight of boxes of this batch for accounting of quantity on weight. d. Management of processing of goods on expiration dates. Since acceptance where for different groups of goods there are different rules of the minimum residual expiration date below which acceptance is not performed, and finishing with selection shipment in which also depending on the consignee the goods are selected taking into account a certain minimum residual expiration date. An opportunity for some articles to prohibit mixing on a goods pallet with different expiration dates, for others – to permit within the set range of terms. e. Work with different types of weight goods where goods quantity can be piece, is determined by weighing on scales, by the label, by reference weight. f. Processing and storage of goods on legal persons where, unlike storage on owners, a trade inventory – physically general is also stored jointly on one pallet, but processing is conducted with Chet of reserves of each legal person. g. Accounting of the arriving, stored and shipped container on container types, and on all transactions in which there are any movements to goods. 2. At acceptance and placement of goods: a. Management of docks and information on transport of the supplier b. The postponed acceptance (acceptance in places) c. Acceptance of containers (with goods vegetables fruit) d. Acceptance of weight goods taking into account a container and weight net/gross e. Total acceptance: The storekeeper can select at the same time several VP and accept their goods at the same time. A system will automatically distribute goods on deliveries. f. Support for each article the main and additional storage areas g. Multilink placements of goods. For example, at placement of goods to the mezzanine, a pallet passes through three consecutive transactions connected with each other, but executed by different people in different zones, using the different equipment h. Processing of a krossdoking 3. Intra warehouse transactions a. Warehouse compression. Transaction is necessary as much as possible to release selection cells. Tasks are generated by the manager and executed by the worker with the shipping documentation b. Transfer (stale) goods from the mezzanine. Transaction is necessary for cleaning of "precious" cells of selection of the mezzanine of a seasonal goods. c. Defects processing transactions in which defects can be selected in a warehouse and it is moved to a defects zone, written off, or moved back to suitable goods d. Inventory on different algorithms: complete, selective, cyclic, on discrepancies, at a batch remaining balance to exchange of the set quantity. 4. Transactions of an expense a. Integration with schedule system of routes of IsTransport allowing to integrate automatically orders in a wave by the principle of one transport, to prioritize assembly of orders on time of shipment and to build loading queue a pallet in transport. b. Accounting corrected formations a pallet and compatibility of goods on a pallet in operations of selection and repacking on the consignee. For shops, for example, it is defined by the plano-gram of shop. Also the laying priority is considered: from heavy to a lung. c. Selection on weight taking into account deviation %. Selection on a pallet using two scales (thin and rough) d. Consecutive selection on one pallet different selectors in different zones. e. Simultaneous (total) selection of several orders for one cart (in the mezzanine and regime zones) f. Also Anticipatory replenishment of the mezzanine on technology of pair consecutive operation of the piler and selector "is hotter": The piler removes pallets from storage for one pass, the selector gathers from them goods on a mezzanine pallet for the second pass, the piler sets pallets on the mezzanine and returns pallets in storage for the third pass: and all this under control of a system. g. Control of a pallet both with weight, and with piece goods on gross weight. h. Repacking in an expedition zone taking into account rules of formation transport a pallet 5. Implementation of the module IsProductivity for performance review of employees and calculation of a price-work part of the salary 6. Implementation of the module of Billing for calculation of services of safe custody Along with sitemy managements of a warehouse, in Lama Group implementation of the modules IsTransport is begun. At the first stage it is performed implementations of planning modules of delivery routes, monitoring of traffic and motor transport service. The module Planning of Routes allows to plan thousands of orders hundreds of cars, taking into account tens of different rules and restrictions of transportation, times of goods acceptance and other restrictions in delivery points, in read minutes. IsTransport transfers by the set rules the poartikulny requests which came to WMS to quantity a pallet and executes calculation. At the exit of the first stage of planning optimal planned routes are created. At the second stage, when loading goods in cars routes can be changed in WMS. This information returns to IsTransport which adjusts a planned route. The module of monitoring of the movement allows to monitor actual movements atomobily, the actual times and costs along routes. The module of motor transport service allows to integrate in a single system such data as lists of cars with their characteristics, the additional hardware, dates of passing of TO, the working schedule and qualification of drivers, repairs, passings of TO, etc., to conduct their history and high-quality accounting. Different actions with motor transport are noted in a system by one click of a mouse: replacement of buses or repair, transfer from one driver to another with printout of the act and other necessary documents. Planning of the Working schedule of drivers allows to make operational decisions on their replacement, to keep account and to plan the schedule of their working time. In addition to problems of daily computer-aided planning of the product delivery in outlets, the company has problems of interfilial transportations, business trips of transport, fixed asset movements and tracking of passenger transport. Similar tasks are also planned, on them monitoring and the cost accounting is conducted.
