Description

The Black Small River company specializes in distribution of goods for artists, art materials and materials for creative work and a hobby. The widest range from the leading Russian and global manufacturers. The company has own retail network in the different cities of Russia and also conducts sales through partners

Tasks

The warehouse complex of the company incorporates four warehouse territories. In some territories warehouses are placed in several buildings. From features of a tovaroobrabotka it is possible to note:

• Huge range of goods
• Mainly, piece selection of goods from shelf racks
• Work with expiration dates

The following tasks were set for the implemented warehouse management system:

• Ensuring transparency and strict accounting of a trade inventory in different territories in one system
• Process optimization of selection of goods: reduction of a cycle of selection shipment, distribution of goods by categories of an ukhodimost, creation of "fast assembly line"
• Management of movements of goods between warehouses if the order is shipped completely only from one of warehouses.

Solution

At the first stage the decision on implementation of a pilot project of the IsWMS system in one of warehouse territories integrating several buildings – warehouses was made. On a pilot project:

• the personnel of a warehouse were trained to work in a system
• the principles of storage and processing of goods are developed
• necessary handbook data are entered into the WMS system
• integration with the ERP system of the Folio is executed.

Further development of the project of automation of warehouse economy of the company assumes expansion of a system on other warehouse objects, with implementation of all assigned tasks
