Description

Santa Bremor company (Santa Bremor trademark) – the large distributor and the producer of fish products.

Santa Bremor is today:

  • state ~ 4000 people;
  • more than 500 types of products;
  • sales representatives c> 80 cities of the CIS;
  • the certified ISO 9001 systems – 2009, HACCP, IFS, MSC.

Today Santa Bremor actively develops own logistics system within which in October, 2010 the logistic complex in Kiev was open (Kiyevo – Svyatoshinsky district) and construction of a similar complex in Moscow is conducted. During the existence Santa Bremor purchased broad popularity not only in the territory of Belarus, but also in the CIS countries, the EU and the Baltic, the USA, Canada, Israel, Lebanon, Georgia and New Zealand.

The Santa Bremor company made the decision to automate management of work of warehouse complexes. As a warehouse management system the IsWMS system of InStock Technologies company is selected. System implementation is performed by the partner of InStock Technologies company, large system integrator Sistem Group.

Tasks

  • Business process optimization in terms of receiving bigger control over a status of trade inventories and management of shipment
  • Establishment of independence of work of a warehouse of a human factor and knowledge/skills of specific employees
  • Quality improvement of work with a trade inventory
  • Optimization of warehouse spaces for the purpose of increase in capacity of a warehouse
  • Respect for the principle of FEFO, taking into account batch numbers and expiration dates
  • Increase in goods turnover of a warehouse, generally due to reduction of an operation cycle of account orders

The frozen and cooled fish products are weight goods with control of batches and expiration dates. Data entry about a batch, term, weight, etc. and also control of observance of processing rules of goods taking into account these data – is rather labor-consuming: it needs to be simplified.

On products arriving both from suppliers and from own productions there is a barcode of GS1 EAN 128 format in which a lot of information 'is sewn up' at the same time: product code, batch, weight: it needs to be used.

Conditions of selection of goods under the order can be slozhnostrukturirovana. For example, it is required to select goods only from three certain batches, and so forth. The tool allowing to formulate conditions of selection of goods in the customer order is necessary – every time of a condition can differ

Fish hulks arrive frozen, covered with an ice layer. Ice should not be considered at calculation of NETTO at shipment (orders come to NET WEIGHT). The amount of ice from a batch to a batch changes therefore product samples from a batch defreeze, count amount of ice and consider average amount of ice on products weight.

Solution

Use of the configured decoder of barcodes:

For the purpose of quick entry of set of information on goods are used complex the barcode, containing different information in one barcode: both GS1 EAN 128 format, and own format. In IsWMS for each article / group of articles it is possible to configure separately the decoder of barcodes allowing to enter in any transaction by one scanning all necessary information on goods which is contained in the barcode. For example, to enter a product code, a batch and weight of packaging/ink into one scanning

NET AND GROSS accounting:

Ice in a System is a container with a variable weight: for each lot of products the weight of "container" will be a miscellaneous. That feature that the weight of "container" will become known after goods acceptance and after laboratory weighings, is solved in a System by acceptance of a batch on BRUTTO with unknown net weight. After the average weight of ice for a batch becomes known, it is entered into a system, and automatic recalculation of all storage locations of goods of this batch with selection of net weight and weight of "container" is executed.

The order of goods on a complex rule set:

The mechanism allowing to specify different rule sets of selection of goods when forming the order from a corporate system is developed (separately on every line). The IsWMS system, taking such order in processing, uses this rule set and precisely selects only goods, necessary under this order.

Selection of goods:

Selection under the order of weight goods indivisible parts (for example, carcasses of fish) is always complicated by the fact that the order for the number of NETTO in kilograms will never be executed in accuracy: slightly less or slightly more than ordered will be selected. In a system limits of acceptable deviations of the selected weight quantity from ordered are set (in weight or percentage of the order): different for different weight ranges / commodity groups / consignees. A system is guided by these limits, defining whether selection of this order is complete or not. Indivisible parts (big carcass of fish or packaging) are marked by unique ShK that allows to scan only at selection ShK of packagings, without entering optional data. Such technology allowed to make selection of weight goods with a high speed, considerably having reduced an order picking cycle.

In addition to the aforesaid, the order from a corporate system arrives mixed – on weight and piece goods at the same time. The IsWMS system automatically separates goods of the order and issues tasks on selection of piece goods by total methods (integrating the piece number of different orders in uniform selection), and weight – a selection method under each order separately
