SG Uralsib implements the system of stream input of documents

On August 19, 2014 it became known of system implementation of mass input of insurance documents in the URALSIB insurance group (IG). In the project the technology of Cognitive Technologies company - Cognitive Forms is used.

Project Tasks

Project "highlight" - implementation of essentially new architecture of an automated workplace of the information processing saving the staff of the company from need to execute operations on document handling in different parts of the office space, in different workplaces.

Dmitry Slugin, the Cognitive Technologies project manager, noted: "Such approach allowed the employees to Group (EG) to carry out URALSIB a full stroke of document handling directly in the workplaces that in addition to convenience and advantages of ergonomics gave the chance to save up to 15% - 20% of working time".

A system allows to process four main document types at the same time:

• insurance policies,
• different types of statements,
• receipts on payment
• passport photocopy.

The operation cycle includes the next stages:

• input of insurance documents,
• recognition of details,
• verification of results,
• export to an internal information system.

The number of the pages which are daily processed by a system makes more than 10 thousand a day. The used Cognitive PDF/A technology allows to squeeze the volume of the digitized documents on average to 20 times and to store them in the PDF/A format (the standard for long-term document storage of ISO 19005-1:2005).

Olga Uskova, the president of Cognitive Technologies, emphasized: "Implementation of the innovative technologies of artificial intelligence allows our customers to increase significantly efficiency of key organizational processes of the enterprises that as a result, undoubtedly, affects customer service quality".
